Here. At one point Quinn appears to be either hugging or killing Salieri - apart from that it tells you very little. But still - Homeland!!!

I reckon (based on nothing except slowly building hype and last year's timings) that we're looking at late September/early October. Can we cope in a world without Brody?

they would definitely have tracing devices all over Carrie as a matter of course she is a demented wild card and wouldn't be allowed to lick envelopes in a workplace like that surely! Quinn would have had her followed given the state of her.

I love Zaf, he is very very gorgeous and an amazing actor and what about the actor who plays the Taliban guy - amazing face, Numan Acar apparently, Turkish. Fabulous face, they've aged him plenty for this.

Noellefielding · 24/11/2014 13:51

Why did Taliban man make poor shackled Saul listen to him servicing his wifey?
That was WEIRD and pervy to no end.

OttiliaVonBCup · 24/11/2014 14:05

To show Saul who's the man and that he's as low as a ddog.

Noellefielding · 24/11/2014 14:09

I see, gross and effective!

ihatethecold · 24/11/2014 18:19

I enjoyed that link travelled
Didn't get any spoilers from the page you linked

BOFster · 24/11/2014 18:22

Yes, me too. There aren't any spoilers unless you dig around a bit .

It sounds like the Americans will be missing an episode this week due to Thanksgiving- does that mean that we will catch up?

guineapiglet · 24/11/2014 22:06

Just caught up as watched the very creepy Remember Me on Sunday...
Very powerful episode especially her meltdown and the imprisonment of Saul, but again I remain amazed that some of this is broadcast given the terrible state of US/Pakistan relations, making the CIA look so incompetent is stunning really. Could Carrie really have beaten up Quinn, a specialist black ops person? The Brody thing was really well done and very convincing. I m not sure I can watch her have another meltdown though it is hard to watch her unravel. Ambassadors husband is a nasty piece of work, who is he being paid by and why???

werenotreallyhere · 24/11/2014 23:11

I don't think that was Quinn....

facedontfit · 24/11/2014 23:42

It wasn't Quinn, she was hallucinating.

guineapiglet · 25/11/2014 08:24

Ah well, thankyou for explaining, hadn't realised and it did seem unlikely.!
Why haven't the CIA team realised Carrie has been pulled? Surely CCTV cameras, doctored or otherwise, would show something?
If politics really does work like this, confrontations, lies, edicts from on high but circumventing ambassadors(which it obviously does) Homeland is showing us why the situation there is so prolonged and like a massive game of chess which no one can ever winSad

Noellefielding · 25/11/2014 10:46

It wasn't Quinn because if it had been he wouldn't have been calmly watching screens at base he'd be running around trying to save her from herself powered by his unrequited love and libido that he will be unleashing upon her when all the other possible semi attractive men in the series have been shagged by her I guess, lol! She is a producer though so she must be approving some of the casting choices for all her partners in furtive and dubious bonking.

Maybe they didn't freak out at her not being around because they are so used to her disappearing and being able to look after herself.

Chandon · 25/11/2014 11:40

It irritated me that the terrorist was portrayed as this mild reasonable man, treating his prisoner as a guest. Treating his family with love, respect and calm authority (after just shooting nephew in the head with no compunction)

...then chaining Saul to the radiator (wtf).

Yeah right.

In real life surely he'd put Saul in a cage with a bag over his head, and everyone would be allowed to throw shoes at him.

The noble terrorist, yuck, why?!

TheSpottedZebra · 25/11/2014 11:52

But by then Saul was a valuable asset, that America would want to exchange for some of their prisoners so they wanted him alive.

But yes I agree, tv and film always romanticises everything.

Chandon · 25/11/2014 11:59

alive yes.

but treated as a guest????

PseudoBadger · 25/11/2014 12:17

But that's what happened to Brodie too?

Travelledtheworld · 25/11/2014 15:37

Yes that's how he was " turned". Violence and torture followed by love until he was loyal to his kidnappers.....

Pleased you like the WSJ blog ihatethecold !

Chandon · 25/11/2014 16:28

happened to Brodie AFTER he was locked in a hole and tortured for years and years

PseudoBadger · 25/11/2014 16:36

Maybe the ex director of the CIA affords more respect?

Cocolepew · 25/11/2014 16:44

He needs Saul though, he's safe when he has him by his side, so he needs to keep him healthy and compliant.

OttiliaVonBCup · 25/11/2014 16:52

Yes Badger, and a private show.

TheDietStartsTomorrow · 25/11/2014 19:34

Just caught up. So relieved that was a hallucination and he wasn't really back. That would have been just way too unbelievable.

Anxious Carrie irritates me.

Noellefielding · 27/11/2014 10:51

She is Beyond Irritating. And her whole character just needs locking up for crimes against everything in drama!
I like the men though..... that Zaf actor is gorge, loving Wupert, Keira's ex, he's fab.

SecretSquirrels · 28/11/2014 15:59

Saul is doomed I fear.

Noellefielding · 28/11/2014 16:39

Saul's a goner.

Mostly for watching that sex all tied up.... percy Saul.

Hassled · 28/11/2014 19:51

Do I need a Keep Calm and Carrie On T-shirt?

Travelled - that blog was really interesting - thanks.
