Here. At one point Quinn appears to be either hugging or killing Salieri - apart from that it tells you very little. But still - Homeland!!!

I reckon (based on nothing except slowly building hype and last year's timings) that we're looking at late September/early October. Can we cope in a world without Brody?

OP posts:
Roonerspism · 23/11/2014 22:57

Must be cocaine then?! (Like I would know...duh)

That Zaf guy is gorgeous. Wasn't he the guy in Mistresses who was married to the beautiful Irish one?

So was Zaf in on the plot to drug Carrie?

Really enjoyed tonight although DH guessed the Brodie bit...

Travelledtheworld · 23/11/2014 23:01

LSD ?

Catsarebastards · 23/11/2014 23:05

Well that was painful Sad Shock

BOFster · 23/11/2014 23:05

Cocaine is not an hallucinogen though- I think it was LSD or psyllcybin or something similar. Certainly more than just withdrawing her normal meds. We've seen Carrie off her meds before, but the auditory and visual hallucinations were way past how her bi-polar used to affect her.

Travelledtheworld · 23/11/2014 23:05

I like that Zaf has probably been educated in the UK.

BOFster · 23/11/2014 23:06

Apologies for awful spellings, but you know what I mean.

Travelledtheworld · 23/11/2014 23:07

Magic Mushroom drug ?

Travelledtheworld · 23/11/2014 23:09

Psilocybin !

YonicScrewdriver · 23/11/2014 23:12

How confusing.

And would Mrs Bad Uncle really want to have sex with Saul in the room?

RudeBarbandCustard · 23/11/2014 23:19

I doubt Mrs Bad uncle had much choice in the matter.

Great ep, poor, poor Carrie although nice bonus getting to stroke the gorgeous Zaf, vast improvement on Brodie

So, is she abducted now, or what? Wasn't too clear on what they're doing with her.

Poor Saul looked devastated that he might be the cause of a large prisoner swap. The last thing he'd want, I imagine. He'd probably rather die than cause any US soldiers to risk their lives for him. I thought he was probably quite fascinated to actually be in the heart of the terrorist community that he has followed from afar for his whole career though. He's an intelligent, reasonable man and can probably relate to them on many levels.

Still upset about the near spoiler on this thread though, so I won't be reading until after each ep from now on.

TheSpottedZebra · 23/11/2014 23:21

Was it Mrs Bad Uncle? When we saw her outside the home, she was mid to late 30s perhaps. Or more.

When we saw her, ahem, in flagrante, she was young.

I assumed it was Mistress Bad Uncle. Possibly a professional. To signal to us that he wasn't pure in the Islamic sense. So a hypocrite.

TheSpottedZebra · 23/11/2014 23:21

Wait, why are we calling him Zaf. Is that his name?

BOFster · 23/11/2014 23:22

Yes, I'm wondering how that seduction went down: "Darling, I thought I'd introduce some handcuffs into our lovemaking. You don't mind if I chain an elderly Jewish gentleman to the radiator, do you?"

BOFster · 23/11/2014 23:23

His name is Khan in this- I think he was Zaf in Spooks?

HalleLouja · 23/11/2014 23:23

He was Zaf in spooks. Oh my god he's a total improvement on Brodie. Though it was nice to see him.

TheSpottedZebra · 23/11/2014 23:26

Ahhh, Zaf in Spooks! Got it. I couldn't Google his name you see (in this), as I am avoiding spoilers.

Cloudofdeath · 23/11/2014 23:28

He will always be zaf to me, criminally under used in Spooks!

Catsarebastards · 23/11/2014 23:44

Why doesn't Quinn implant a tracking device in her shoe ?

I think he should implant one under skin! She needs watching, that one! Grin

Just caught up on the rest of the thread. Very glad i didnt do that before the episode Hmm

TheSpottedZebra · 23/11/2014 23:56

So was that Quinn in the hospital that she belted, or was it her delusional self seeing Quinn when really it was A.N.Other security guard?

BOFster · 23/11/2014 23:58

It was a doctor, I think.

Catsarebastards · 24/11/2014 00:05

Yes i thought it was a doctor too. Or security. Definitely not quinn.

YonicScrewdriver · 24/11/2014 00:45

I don't know if she was really in the hospital. If she was, what happened to Max and Fara?

deadwitchproject · 24/11/2014 08:04

Yes I'm confused as to why the team weren't listening to her conversation with Pi's ex at the very least.

How they didn't realise that she was wandering around the streets of Karachi/islamabad all alone and confused is just bizarre. How did they not see her being thrown out of the hospital??

Zaf is a definite improvement on Brodie, and very much alive.

OttiliaVonBCup · 24/11/2014 08:59

So the CIA managed to lose Sandy - the original station manager, Saul - the ex- director and now Carrie - the present manager.

Good job that.

Travelledtheworld · 24/11/2014 11:14

Homeland doesn't really show the CIA as a competent organisation does it ?
This is a good blog from the Wall Street Journal, with an insiders perspective.

BEWARE OF SPOILERS though, don't peep at the episodes that haven't been aired in the UK yet.
