I thought it was brilliant, although some generational shifts confused me. The lead character played by Sarah Lancashire had a grandson but didn't look old enough.

The company boss had been friends with the accountant's father, that didn't add up did it? Or did I get that wrong.

Great to see the George Costigan and Siobhan Finneran reunited although not onscreen together.

Brilliant writing and simply superb acting I thought, anybody else enjoy it?

I'm watching 15 mins behind on sky plus. I wish they wouldn't show any of the Tommy stuff. It's really fucking grim. And not necessary.

Oh my God, what a tense episode. SL can't be dead, can she? Glad Ann is 'OK'.

That feels more like the penultimate or last episode of a series but there's still two episodes left.

I think the accountant's plan is fine but like his wife said, he needs to keep his nerve. And be a good actor.

That was just incredible. We've been sat here shouting at the screen in between watching between our hands. Truly gritty watching.

Can't believe we have to wait a whole week for the next installment! That was fabulous, horrific but fab. We were also shouting at the telly. Wonder bow the storybwill will unfold now for another two episodes??

I'll say again, Sarah Lancashire is the most fab actress! Gritty and bloody episode but compelling viewing. Loved that Catherine's ex finally came round re grandson. Glad Ann is ok too, Catherine will be ok, I'm sure. Can't wait for next week!

The acting is fantastic but it's too harrowing I think. Tommy is an evil bastard. Tbh I wanted one of them to smash his head with whatever that metal thing was.

I feel a bit like I felt when I watched Dancer in the Dark and was too upset to speak for a bit afterwards.

And he's on his way to kidnap his son.
