OP posts:

He's a bit old to be lazing around surfing. Isn't that what you do in your 20s?

AnneEyhtMeyer · 04/02/2014 09:52

This couple have "car crash" written all over them.

Sparklingbrook · 04/02/2014 09:53

at 'we haven't got a group of friends'. Um that's because you are crackers, Grin

bisjo · 04/02/2014 09:53

She seems focused and driven and he just seems he'd be happy doing as little as possible.

bisjo · 04/02/2014 09:54

I love how they said about missing family but that being able to 'sit outside' made up for that.

Sparklingbrook · 04/02/2014 09:56

Outdoor bloody living. Aaaaarrrrggghhh!!!!!!

AnneEyhtMeyer · 04/02/2014 09:56

"Aussie outdoor living". I wish we had an outdoors in the UK.

Wishfulmakeupping · 04/02/2014 09:57

Marking place I'm a few episodes behind

Sparklingbrook · 04/02/2014 09:57

Yes Anne no outdoors in Wales at all is there-you can't blame them. Grin

AnneEyhtMeyer · 04/02/2014 09:58

Haha! I knew it! They separated!

bisjo · 04/02/2014 09:58

Well the ending wasn't a surprise at all!

bisjo · 04/02/2014 09:59

I wonder if that affects their visa status?

turningvioletviolet · 04/02/2014 09:59

i saw that coming a mile off!

Sparklingbrook · 04/02/2014 10:01

Hahahahahahahahahahahaha

bisjo · 04/02/2014 10:01

I struck me as being happier on his own and not wanting to really be part of family life. Hard for the children though.

bisjo · 04/02/2014 10:02

He not I.

TwelveLeggedWalk · 04/02/2014 10:07

Poor kids, especially the eldest one who looked like she really enjoyed the time surfing with her dad.

Also - are you allowed to emigrate to Australia without work lined up?!

bisjo · 04/02/2014 10:09

They had existing visas. I thought you could go without work if you were under 35 (no idea how old they are).

fussychica · 04/02/2014 10:10

Poor kids - again! So much for doing everything for the children. Some people are so bloody selfish. Wonder what will happen now.

CosyTeaBags · 04/02/2014 10:10

Just caught the end of this one, but even I saw that coming after watching a few minutes! He seemed like a lazy arse, and I couldn't work out why she was filmed sitting alone slagging him off, and then we found out.

Why were they nutters, was she a tad controlling perhaps?

I must say, his reluctance to actually look for work would have pissed me off no end! What is it about surfing that's so addictive it makes grown men act like selfish teenagers?

invicta · 04/02/2014 10:11

So much for following 'the dream'. Are they remaining in Australia? Poor kids.

ExcuseTypos · 04/02/2014 10:11

Shock only saw the first half, but when he decided he wanted to work in a surf shop- I thought what a tosser.

I expect she's far better off without him but poor kids.

It was all on such shaky ground from the start. Sad Maybe Mum and the girls are happy without him.

Vagndidit · 04/02/2014 10:16

Train wreck, indeed!
