Oh the revisited one looks good- lots of tears already!

17leftfeet · 03/02/2014 09:23

Just started a new thread because weirdly I couldn't find this one

I remember this one Grin

AnneEyhtMeyer · 03/02/2014 09:29

I remember this family - they were on not long ago weren't they? Or maybe I saw a repeat.

ExcuseTypos · 03/02/2014 09:33

Sorry I didn't see your thread 17.

I've got to go out now so will miss the rest. Like these updates though, it's a much quicker pace than the normal shows.

northender · 03/02/2014 09:36

This is from the 2013 series. It does seem bizarre that London was the closest job to Glasgow.

CosyTeaBags · 03/02/2014 09:40

Quite surprising that she couldn't get work as a midwife in Glasgow - or Edinburgh would be an easier commute.

If they want 'family time', why not move to the Highlands, they both have practical skills which should help them find work... or am I being naive?

GhettoPrincess001 · 03/02/2014 09:44

It's being discussed on various chat threads. I'm living overseas. I can't get the current series on BBCi Player as I'm....overseas.

I don't want to download Expat Shield or Laptop Telly either.

I'm glad normal people don't fall for WWDU. People who do don't realise how entertaining they are.

Meglet · 03/02/2014 09:44

Scotland to London is a commute and half Confused. I guess the short term pain will be bearable if they emigrate and she can continue to work as a midwife.

Vagndidit · 03/02/2014 09:44

I remember her annoying me last year. Hasn't changed.

CosyTeaBags · 03/02/2014 09:47

Oh that little boy looked really worried when he voted undecided... Sad

Not fair to put pressure like that on a child

17leftfeet · 03/02/2014 09:48

Not surprised they went, surprised they went so quickly

AnneEyhtMeyer · 03/02/2014 09:49

Gosh, three and a half months from the programme to moving? That is incredible!

princessalbert · 03/02/2014 09:49

They seem to be a success story.

:)

CosyTeaBags · 03/02/2014 09:50

Nice for them that they're happy and all, but when will people realize.

You. Don't. Have. To. Move. To. Australia. To. Have. Family. Time.

Plenty of families in the UK have great work life balance, and plenty of Australian families have a shit work life balance

This family's problem was that they lived in Glasgow and she commuted to London FFS! Anyone would find that difficult! They could have fixed their 'family time' issues by just moving somewhere else in the UK, nearer work...

AnneEyhtMeyer · 03/02/2014 09:50

Six boxes and three suitcases? Seriously? DD would have more than that.

CosyTeaBags · 03/02/2014 09:51

But it seems there wasn't anything major keeping them in Glasgow. Nice for them that they've made the right choice.

MrsReiver · 03/02/2014 09:51

Cosy she couldn't find work closer to home though. Admittedly this is a pretty drastic solution Smile

was coming onto say what cosy had said, so.....what cosy said Grin

MrsReiver · 03/02/2014 09:54

And the cost of living in London is a bit more than Glasgow, perhaps they couldn't afford to live nearer her job?

They just seem so happy now, I am pleased it worked out for them.

It's football. He has joined a football team!!

TwinklyMummaLuvsHerBubba89 · 03/02/2014 09:57

glad it worked out for tgm. remember them from last year and felt for them as they were obviously miserable.

They could have moved somewhere in the UK but maybe the thought of it was all or nothing?

good luck to them!

Vagndidit · 03/02/2014 09:57

Admit I'm a bit Envy at their ability to settle in so quickly after moving abroad. Have been living here in UK for over 3 years and still struggling...

Davros · 03/02/2014 23:30

Just catching up on Friday's. I'm sure that dad is an ex copper from the way he speaks. It's a boring episode though

Vagndidit · 04/02/2014 09:38

Uggh...these people...Nutters Revisited.

Wonder if we'll see poor Brendan later in the week.

Sparklingbrook · 04/02/2014 09:42

OMG Vagn I so want to see that poor Brendan is ok.

This family are grating my carrot.
