On a school trip to Granada studios we met Bill Roache. We all crowded round him and as he tried to walk away he tripped over the kerb Grin

It still makes me chuckle now.

My brother met Gary Windass in Manchester a few weeks ago too.

ComposHat · 04/01/2014 18:25

Reg Holdsworth at a stock car raceway in he early 90s. Seemed a bit of a tosser truth be told.

lamandler · 04/01/2014 19:17

Spotted Dev in Sainsburys too! Wood Green in London, twice. Made me chuckle.

Mike Baldwin and Don Brennan drinking in a pub in Castlefield.
Andy McDonald on Deansgate.
Denise the hairdresser catching a tram outside the library in Manchester. She was small and dainty looking.
Emily Bishop on Quay Street.

Misfitless · 06/01/2014 02:56

Emily Bishop Grin!

Just can't imagine her out and about for some reason!

The gym I used to go to must have handed out free passes to the cast. Dev opened the door for me in his motor bike leathers. He is extremely tall. Eileen was in the restaurant and on getting her food gave the server a filthy look and snapped 'condiments' in a really arsey way. We still titter about that one. Her 'son' also used the gym with the actor who used to be in Brookside in the 90s playing a teenager with a nickname that escapes me. My DH has also seen Sally taking her kids swimming in Wilmslow, Roy and Todd heading to the studio and (his favourite tale he likes to retell for reasons I can't fathom) was beckoned over by Tina to her car as she wanted directions to Band on the Wall.

WallyBantersJunkBox · 07/01/2014 23:55

Gary Windass playing Snooker in the Scarborough Snooker Centre.

Eva walking up Deansgate with a huge handbag, last June.

I was shopping with my mum in Manchester and we saw Sally Webster

My mum walked to to her and said 'hi Sally, how are you? Not seen you in ages'

Sally to her credit said 'fine thanks but I'm in a bit of a rush' and carried on

About 5 minutes later the penny dropped for my mum that she doesn't actually know her -she was mortified but I had a good giggle

17leftfeet · 08/01/2014 00:05

Oh and when Steve and Andy were the new twins on corrie, my sister and I were stood on the platform with them at deansgate station

chubbymummy · 08/01/2014 00:27

17 - Sally's real name is actually Sally so your Mum probably left her wondering if they did in fact know each other!

EmmaFreudsGivingMeJip · 08/01/2014 00:49

Saw Dev in the bar in the Dorchester, blimey he gets about.

bettybleep · 08/01/2014 19:37

Audraa in a London restaurant in the late 80's.... Very nice and friendly toward the staff.

PiratesMam · 08/01/2014 19:43

I saw Tracy Barlow/Kate Ford waiting for Topshop in Brixton to open just before Xmas! She was on the phone looking bored.

elvisola · 08/01/2014 19:45

Tracey Barlow was at my sister in laws wedding.

mumsneedwine · 08/01/2014 21:15

Many years ago was on holiday with Mike Baldwin in Barbados. Embarrassed myself massively after a night at tequila bar when sat interrogating the poor bloke about his affairs (my darling boyfriend - now - husband told me next day). Ended up water skiing with him and he was lovely - took the mick out of me for rest of holiday for being a Corrie fan & a very silly drunk.

Cherrypie32 · 08/01/2014 21:51

Peter Barlow with a girlfriend walking along the prom in Llandudno about 10 years ago.
Gail Platt bought knickers from me when I worked at the M&S in central Manchester in about 1994.
Steve McDonald passing through Strensham services on the M5 when I worked there in my school holidays.

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 08/01/2014 23:33

I used to see Sally at the leisure centre every week when her children had their swimming lessons.

Seen various people opening Rose Queen festivals, summer fetes etc.

Oh and of course, if you crane your neck to look through the little window in the 'Experiment' gallery at the MOSI (until they covered it up). Although not exactly out and about I suppose - you could see the set from there.

YourMaNoBraBackOfMyCar · 09/01/2014 03:45

Peter barlow is my friends neighbour. I was stood near her house smoking and he asked for a fag.
Tina O'brien is a regular at my pub and has sat in our beer garden smoking as well as snogging the face off random beau's.
Saw Eileen going into Burger King with her ds. I smiled at her. She scowled at me.
My friend works in Tesco. One lady was purchasing a copy of Ok! (One that had Michelle Keegan and whatshisface from Towie on the front) my friend said to the lady "Those two are too pretty for their own good! Mind you she is stunning isn't she?" The lady said to my friend "well of course I think so. She's my daughter!" Lucky my friend was being complimentary. She isn't always :o
My cousin worked with Paula Lane (Rat face Platts mrs?) In December. Apparently she is unfriendly and very snappy. I always see her as being a nightmare but a good laugh.

NuggetofPurestGreen · 09/01/2014 16:06

Do you mean Tinhead, lozster??? Grin

BadgersNadgers · 10/01/2014 22:38

I saw Vera Duckworth at the pharmacy in Tesco years ago. She was getting cough mixture. I needed thrush cream but I had to wait until she'd gone before I asked for it because I couldn't cope with the idea of her knowing about my itchy fanjo.

Lovewhereilive · 10/01/2014 22:54

Ken Barlow ran down my street past me about 30 years ago! Lived just up the road at the time.

Sat in a ball pool next to Des Barnes about 8 years ago ( in some play place).

Some Corrie star was in the local pub the other week, goes every Tuesday but I wouldn't have a clue who he is as not watched it for years.

Saw Vera in Pizza Express a few years back, my son was chatting to a child she was with, bet she thought I sent him over on purpose! (I didn't!)

flipchart · 10/01/2014 23:08

Oh, I've just remembered that a few years ago a few of us were having a night out in Manchester and quite a few if the younger Corrie cast were in the same restaurant. I don't watch Corrie so I didn't know who the characters are but some one said one was 'Gail plats' son and I can't remember the others. It was dead funny watching patrons fawn over them! Even the members of the group I was with were excited. It was really funny! I
I was like ' they are just guys! Get a grip!'
