I want to live in Manchester!! Grin

theliverpoolone · 23/12/2013 21:53

Dev must be a Sainsburys devotee - I once saw him at my local London Sainsburys! (in a very 'loud' shirt Grin)

TheOneWithTheNicestSmile · 23/12/2013 22:03

Vicky Entwistle (Janice Battersby) & Thelma Barlow (Mavis) both visit local supermarkets (as does Dave Spikey though he's not Corrie)

Also Bill Roache (Ken Barlow) was here years ago for a by-election - supporting the Tories, although Ken is Labour, I was a bit Hmm about that. Anyway my DDs were inadvertently photographed with him

(I live in a naice market town in Lancs)

TheOneWithTheNicestSmile · 23/12/2013 22:08

Hmm, I used present tense for Mavis - I saw her over 10 years ago, apparently she lives down south now

98percentchocolate · 23/12/2013 22:09

Deirdre in a bar in Spain, we had a lovely chat. She was very nice. She actually approached us rather than the other way round!

Ilanthe · 23/12/2013 22:17

Betty Driver in M&S cafe in Altrincham. More times than I can count. Not recently though. Sad

KenDoddsDadsDog · 23/12/2013 22:17

Served dinner to Gail Platt at Frontierland theme park Morecombe . Summer 1991.
Steve MacDonald came into the Liverpool cafe I worked in as a student 1995.
And Les Battersby working in the Flossy shop in Sunderland only last year.

Mrscaindingle · 23/12/2013 23:57

When I used to live in Muswell Hill a few years ago I used to regularly see Fred Elliot, I say I used to regularly see Fred Elliot at the bus stop.

Blush sorry couldn't resist that.

Misfitless · 24/12/2013 06:52

Grin Mrscaindingle

Fred Elliot! I'd forgotten all about him, I say I'd forgotten all about him!
(Right back at ya!)
Blush

Wasn't aware that there was another MrsCainDingle! I prefer to keep a lower profile, though. Wink

I was made up with Peter Barlow...but now I'm aware how many mners have multiple-Corrie-character-spottings in the bag I'm a bit Xmas Envy.

Over 30 years ago Ken Barlow made an 'official appearance' at a small china shop near us. My younger daughter and I went just to have a look at him. We didn't go inside, just peered through the window.

valiumredhead · 24/12/2013 11:56

Was the character married to the Loose Women dippy character called Reg Holsworth? Wore big blue glasses ? I saw him in a bakery in SE London, he is much taller than you'd think.

mum2jakie · 24/12/2013 13:18

Jim McDonald on the tube

sooperdooper · 24/12/2013 13:27

Haven't seen any Corrie folks just yet, but I can see the new Corrie set from where I'm sitting right now! :)

UseNorOrnament · 24/12/2013 13:46

Sue Johnston wished me and my husband congratulations as we posed for our wedding picture on the bridge by the Lowry Theatre. She was going to a football match at Old Trafford & now in our wedding pic!!

Mavis Riley in a lift in Kendals

Roy Cropper going into a hiking shop on Deansgate

Gail Platt nearly ran my husband over on a Salford side street (hang on - that sounds like a Smiths lyric!)

rach89 · 24/12/2013 13:59

I was sat next to Maria at Thai ladyboys show in Manchester!

BoysiesBack · 24/12/2013 14:24

Pretty much the entire cast at a concert the other night.

Fizz in Pizza Express a while back.

GloriousGoosebumps · 24/12/2013 14:51

Another Gail Platt sighting, we shared the lift to the Oxo Tower restaurant. She scrubs up well!

David Platt at Nelson's Dockyard in Antigua, it was all very surreal Grin

Wingedharpy · 24/12/2013 16:16

Sue Jenkins (she played Gloria, a Rover's barmaid - Mum to Richard Fleeshman who was also in Corrie) - sat at the end of our row at the theatre watching Vagina Monologues.
She was lovely and friendly.
She came to watch it alone as she had never seen it but had been offered a role in it but didn't know if it was for her or not just from reading the script.
Don't know if she ever did take the part or not.

Audrey Roberts in our local M and S several years ago.

Not Corrie, but years ago, Lorraine Kelly walked past us carrying her little girl (she's about 25 now!) in Nidri, Greek Island.

nennypops · 26/12/2013 22:55

I used to see Sarah Lancaster quite regularly in our local supermarket.

Mrscaindingle · 27/12/2013 00:13

Misfitless Grin I too thought I was unique.

I'd much rather bump into Peter Barlow however, than anyone else in Corrie at the moment Xmas Envy

flipchart · 27/12/2013 12:22

Kevin Kennedy at a Men They Couldn't Hang concert.

A lot of the cast were audience members at a play at the Octagon in Bolton that Roy Barrackogh was starring in. They were all having a night out together.

Clawdy · 27/12/2013 23:01

Eileen in a gift shop in Didsbury.
Liam (now in Downton) walking down Market Street in Manchester.

Hexiegone · 28/12/2013 12:15

I'm totes confused - didn't realise the Oxo Tower was a real place! Blush

If Peter Barlow asked me directions to anywhere I'd direct him to my house and ask my husband to go out Grin
