This is a thread for all lovers of the daytime soap 'Doctors', BBC1, 1.45pm. All welcome, newbies, regulars, lurkers. Let me entertain you with a festive song:

The 12 Days of Doctors Christmas
On the twelfth day of Christmas
My true love sent to me
Twelve Mandy's fretting
Eleven Chris's whinging
Ten Jimmi's washing
Nine Heston's scripting
Eight Barry's peering
Seven Daniel's flirting
Six Zara's glaring
Five paaaa-tients!
Four sad Robs
Three pies for Al
Two Karens
And a tabard in a pear tree

Xmas Smile Xmas Smile Xmas Smile

The apostrophe police will have a field day with that one ^

(Private note to Kev: go on.....show me your baubles! Xmas Grin)

Arf at Heston not wanting "random insertions"!

HoggyTruffle · 12/12/2013 14:08

Poor Karen Sad

HoggyTruffle · 12/12/2013 14:10

I think I'm with Barry on art vs. rubbish.

bellabelly · 12/12/2013 14:10

Oh I'm being confused by the codes - I didn't mean TBFE, I meant that nurse woman. I'm rubbish at remembering all the names, let alone the codenames!

AnneEyhtMeyer · 12/12/2013 14:11

Horrible brat - I'm on Barry's side.

HoggyTruffle · 12/12/2013 14:12

Don't worry, she will be working in McDonald's after she finishes her art degree. Grin

AnneEyhtMeyer · 12/12/2013 14:12

Very true, Hoggy.

WhoKnowsWhereTheMistletoes · 12/12/2013 14:15

Poor Barry, he does walk into these things headfirst. What a horrible girl.

bellsringingoutforMadHairDay · 12/12/2013 14:18

Oh dear looks horrible tomorrow for Rob :(

AnneEyhtMeyer · 12/12/2013 14:24

I'm going to miss tomorrow's live, as have to go to Christmas church thing at DD's school.

Can't believe it is the last one until January. We will need to talk about noting for three weeks. No change there then.

WhoKnowsWhereTheMistletoes · 12/12/2013 14:50

I may or may not be watching tomorrow. DD will still be off school (she threw up again just before Doctors started) and the plumber is coming to service the boiler "late morning" so depends when he gets finished (he is very chatty).

MsNobodyAgain · 12/12/2013 15:09

Missed today's due to workmen starting at 12.30. Grrrrr! I had to make conversation and everything.

Should catch tomorrows live but it'll be sad by the sounds of it.

Does anyone know what date it is back on in January? I like to put it in my diary. shoot me now

I'm sure I read that it is back on the 6th January. Xmas Sad

WhoKnowsWhereTheMistletoes · 12/12/2013 16:54

I just went on the Doctors website to try and find out for definite and came across this in FAQS.

"Are the Mill and Campus the only surgeries in Letherbridge, they seem to have a huge number of patients?"

Are they talking about the same programme?

OodKingWenceslas · 12/12/2013 18:09

Not sure there's been a single patient this week.

cinnamongreyhound · 12/12/2013 21:24

Missed todays due to giving blood, will catch up with thread and episode tomorrow hopefully!

AnneEyhtMeyer · 12/12/2013 21:25

They have got to be taking the piss, WhoKnows! What was the answer? They have shown other practices in the past.

WhoKnowsWhereTheMistletoes · 12/12/2013 21:30

The answer is this

No, we've mentioned and featured other surgeries in the area, particularly Sutton Vale. But yes, the surgeries do serve a very large patient database, but then – they have to supply us with 230 stories a year!

So, with an estimated average of 1 patient per episode that's 115 patients at each surgery. So if say 50,000 people live in Letherbridge there must be hundreds of other surgeries

OodKingWenceslas · 12/12/2013 21:58

Maybe it was from one of those who didn't notice Jizz being pregnant

ClayDavis · 12/12/2013 22:36

I think your estimated average of 1 patient per episode might be a bit optimistic.

Raahh · 12/12/2013 22:36

Hello peeps! I have been terrible lately, and all my family have been ill.Sad

Dd2 is supposed to be going for a first trip to nursery tomorrow, but ds is really ill, so unlikely she will go.

And i have just set fire to the dd2's mini christmas tree and set off all the fire alarms.

I'm currently sat here with all the windows open.

Grin
AnneEyhtMeyer · 12/12/2013 22:49

Raahh how on Earth did you set fire to a mini Christmas tree? Did you do it on purpose? Were you trying to cleanse the house of sickness with some smoky Christmas tree?

ClayDavis · 12/12/2013 22:51

I can recommend bicarb and bowls of white vinegar dotted around to clear the smell if it lingers. Grin Two months on and you almost can't smell the smoke unless you go into the kitchen.

Hope your DS gets better soon.
