MsNobodyAgain · 06/12/2013 14:49

This is a thread for all lovers of the daytime soap 'Doctors', BBC1, 1.45pm. All welcome, newbies, regulars, lurkers. Let me entertain you with a festive song:

The 12 Days of Doctors Christmas
On the twelfth day of Christmas
My true love sent to me
Twelve Mandy's fretting
Eleven Chris's whinging
Ten Jimmi's washing
Nine Heston's scripting
Eight Barry's peering
Seven Daniel's flirting
Six Zara's glaring
Five paaaa-tients!
Four sad Robs
Three pies for Al
Two Karens
And a tabard in a pear tree

Xmas Smile Xmas Smile Xmas Smile

The apostrophe police will have a field day with that one ^

(Private note to Kev: go on.....show me your baubles! Xmas Grin)

We need a Doctors movie.

We could be extras.

We know the drill.

Nothing is as good as Doctors. That is true class.

I have just noticed how lovely Michael Fassbender is. I watched Jane Eyre the other day and was immediately smitten. I have always loved Rochester anyway, so that probably helped.

I may be a bit tipsy.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 31/12/2013 23:03

Oh! A Doctors movie! Yes! That would be brilliant!

I would so be up for being in that. I could be a patient! Actually, they probably won't need any of those. Maybe I could be Tash's friend?

ClayDavis · 31/12/2013 23:04

But where would we be without Doctor's going on and on and on.

Who I think we played the adult version but adapted the rules so you only needed to add one letter to make a word and the letter string could be at the beginning, middle or end. Obviously when you have a room full of children in front of you and you turn over the card to see 'unt' every other word in the English language suddenly disappears from your brain. Buying the Junior version would have been much a better option.

Raahh · 31/12/2013 23:04

The cast of Monty python???

er.... why????

I'm missing the more current people elsewhere, obviously.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 31/12/2013 23:04

Oh look! A bunch of middle-aged (speaking generously) men who don't get on but want to earn more money!

ClayDavis · 31/12/2013 23:05

'I could be a patient!' - honestly, you call yourself a Doctors fan Grin. Why would they need patients.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 31/12/2013 23:06

Selling tickets to their show.

Once again, better than a bunch of reality stars I've never heard of.

Raahh · 31/12/2013 23:06

I really want to do a Doctors film. They don't have to pay me. Much.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 31/12/2013 23:07

I'm sorry, Clay, I've been drinking.

Raahh · 31/12/2013 23:07

Anne - It love being a cynical old bat.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 31/12/2013 23:09

Raahh me too!

Raahh · 31/12/2013 23:11

Mickey Bubbles not at his bestSad

WhoKnowsWhereTheMistletoes · 31/12/2013 23:14

I just turned over and said "who are they" to the Monty Pythons, didn't realise who it was till I saw Michael Palin.

Then even more shock as I always imagined Michael Buble to be about 60 as well.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 31/12/2013 23:17

Buble 60??? He is a youngster! Just had a baby!

I'm glad to see Myleene hasn't got the NYE gig tonight, but Susannah is almost as bad.

ClayDavis · 31/12/2013 23:20

I can't take Mickey Bubbles seriously since SP pointed out that he looks like a thumb. Now every time I look at him I think OMG he looks like a thumb.

WhoKnowsWhereTheMistletoes · 31/12/2013 23:21

I thought he was a middle aged Michael Ball type crooner (based on the sorts of friends that swoon over him on FB). Turned over to Gary Barlow now, cringing.

Raahh · 31/12/2013 23:23

Sir Grin BazzaGarlow isn't sounding great either. mebbe it's my tellybox?

AnneEyhtMeyer · 31/12/2013 23:23

Gary seems to have a cold - he's very nasally tonight.

I know someone who knows Buble (in a work capacity) and apparently he is absolutely lovely and genuine in real life. This person knows a lot of people and Buble is one of the good guys, no crap ego.

WhoKnowsWhereTheMistletoes · 31/12/2013 23:25

Is he British?

AnneEyhtMeyer · 31/12/2013 23:25

No, he's American.

ClayDavis · 31/12/2013 23:27

Isn't he Canadian? Or am I thinking of some one else.

Raahh · 31/12/2013 23:28

I do like Mickey Bubbles- despite his skinny wife, and not doubt gorgeous child Grin

Raahh · 31/12/2013 23:29

Gazza is starting to look like like a muppet.

Or a meerkat Grin

AnneEyhtMeyer · 31/12/2013 23:32

Just checked and yes, he's Canadian.
