MsNobodyAgain · 06/12/2013 14:49

This is a thread for all lovers of the daytime soap 'Doctors', BBC1, 1.45pm. All welcome, newbies, regulars, lurkers. Let me entertain you with a festive song:

The 12 Days of Doctors Christmas
On the twelfth day of Christmas
My true love sent to me
Twelve Mandy's fretting
Eleven Chris's whinging
Ten Jimmi's washing
Nine Heston's scripting
Eight Barry's peering
Seven Daniel's flirting
Six Zara's glaring
Five paaaa-tients!
Four sad Robs
Three pies for Al
Two Karens
And a tabard in a pear tree

Xmas Smile Xmas Smile Xmas Smile

The apostrophe police will have a field day with that one ^

(Private note to Kev: go on.....show me your baubles! Xmas Grin)

I have no idea what you are all watching because I can't see it, but it does sound very bizarre.

Raahh · 31/12/2013 22:43
  • I loved gas and air.

I wish you could get gas and air from Tesco.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 31/12/2013 22:43

Curly come here and give me a snog. Xmas Grin

curlyclaz13 · 31/12/2013 22:43

Graham Norton clay

AnneEyhtMeyer · 31/12/2013 22:44

BBC1, Graham Norton, Clay.

I loved Gas and Air too. When I win the lottery I am going to get it installed in every room of my house.

Raahh · 31/12/2013 22:44

Grin Clay- it's Graham Norton.

I am refusing to watch the Jools Holland travesty this year.

Raahh · 31/12/2013 22:45

Of all the guest- the Collins' sisters- really????

Cockwombles.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 31/12/2013 22:45

Me too, Raahh. It is overly smug and I hate the "oh yes it is NYE" bollocks.

I am hoping the Gary Barlow concert after this is good.

ClayDavis · 31/12/2013 22:46

That makes sense. It could have been the word's weirdest TV drama with Will Ferrell, Joan Collins and Idris I suppose.

Raahh · 31/12/2013 22:47

Clay Grin

AnneEyhtMeyer · 31/12/2013 22:47

Now that would be a good episode of Doctors!

AnneEyhtMeyer · 31/12/2013 22:47

Where is MsN? Surely not out gallivanting?

curlyclaz13 · 31/12/2013 22:50

Mwah and Wine for all the doctors nutters.
I fear pregnancy has caused the loss of my drinking super power, glass of port and I feel a bit tipsy. I am eating cheese and sausage rolls.

Raahh · 31/12/2013 22:50

Joan Collins is married to someone called Percy.

This makes me snigger.

Cos I am drunk.

apologies to Percys

AnneEyhtMeyer · 31/12/2013 22:50

The Birmingham bloke who's name escapes me is very quiet - has he been struck dumb?

ClayDavis · 31/12/2013 22:51

Grin Not having a TV license does have its pitfalls sometimes. Although I have to admit to occasionally trying to follow an episode just from the comments on this thread when I'm off work or it is very slow at work. It makes the weirder episodes even weirder. That's why I love this thread.

WhoKnowsWhereTheMistletoes · 31/12/2013 22:52

Telly's gone off here (miracle), we're having a Pass the Bomb tournament. DS is on edge, excited but possibly on the verge of an ASD meltdown if he loses. Ah, we have paused to regroup and prevent meltdown.

I refuse to watch Jools or Gary Barlow. If all else fails I'm going upstairs to watch last nights Corrie on ITV player.

Raahh · 31/12/2013 22:52

This time 11 years ago, I remember having some fizz, after nearly 9 months of no booze. (ds was born 2 days before).

It was lovely Grin

AnneEyhtMeyer · 31/12/2013 22:53

Oh don't bother with Corrie, WhoKnows, it was dire last night. Totally ridiculous Tina / Peter crap.

Clay - now we know that we can add extra bits to confuse you! Oh hang on - no need to do that with Doctors, is there?

Raahh · 31/12/2013 22:54

Frank Skinner?

Sherlock is on tomorrow.

I'm really looking forward to that. 2 years!

ClayDavis · 31/12/2013 22:55

I love pass the bomb. We played it with some friends of my gran's and their children/grandchildren a couple of Christmases ago. Caused much hilarity when the letter string 'unt' turned up half way through.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 31/12/2013 22:55

Yes, that's the one. Sounds (and looks) like Gobby!

Never seen Sherlock.

Raahh · 31/12/2013 22:56

We love 'Pass the pigs'

it's very exciting, Chez Raahh.

Grin
WhoKnowsWhereTheMistletoes · 31/12/2013 22:57

This is the junior version, you just have to name items in a category. We're playing instant death to add excitement.

Watching some shite 100 best show now.

Raahh · 31/12/2013 22:58

Sherlock is great- love Benedict Cumberband.

But it annoys me that they know how much people love it, and the ntake years to do a new series.

Not like Doctors. Which goes on and on and on........
