BBC2, 8.30pm. Monica is back. Michel is back. Sadly, Greg is also back, but we can't have everything. This is my favourite Masterchef variant, so I am a happy bunny.

OP posts:
KeemaNaanAndCurryOn · 13/11/2013 20:19

They were all really good yesterday, but this lot don't seem to be that good. Maybe they'll come through in the classics tests.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 13/11/2013 20:21

I'm getting a bit fed up of the format already with all the classic snobbery.

NotAnotherPackedLunch · 13/11/2013 20:51

Caper and sultana puree?
I'm struggling to imagine what that combination would taste like.

Has anyone come across it before?

Elderflowergranita · 13/11/2013 20:52

Sean's gone, I reckon.

Can't believe he went with fillet steak

NotAnotherPackedLunch · 13/11/2013 20:53

Is it goodbye to Sean or do you think Maria had a bad enough round to go instead?
I reckon it'll be Sean.

MyNameIsWinkly · 13/11/2013 20:55

Sean made something completely inedible. Surely he can't come back from that?

NotAnotherPackedLunch · 13/11/2013 20:56

Yes, making Monica something so bad she spat it out was never going to be a good move.

KeemaNaanAndCurryOn · 13/11/2013 20:56

I'd say sean, but its between him and Maria.

if Kit was in today's bunch, he'd have gone through.

colleysmill · 13/11/2013 20:57

Could be Sean or Maria.

I like the fact that they properly talk through the contestants

NotAnotherPackedLunch · 13/11/2013 20:57

Do you think they might send home both Sean and Maria?

nipersvest · 13/11/2013 21:33

tonights lot were very poor, it's a shame people like petrus are out, and yet those 3 are still in. and what is this love affair they're all having with potato fondant?, have never had it, is it really so tasty it warrants being on every plate?

MyNameIsWinkly · 13/11/2013 21:45

Potato fondant is definitely this year's foam/microherbs/blob-smear. Every series has its trends.

Tee2072 · 14/11/2013 11:09

Just watching it now. Never seen Monica spit something out before.

Tee2072 · 14/11/2013 11:52

No surprises there then.

Tee2072 · 14/11/2013 19:49

I'm actually watching it as it happens tonight. Grin

NotAnotherPackedLunch · 14/11/2013 19:52

Me too. The critics round is my favourite. Smile

jezzasjockstrap · 14/11/2013 20:15

We had potato fondants tonight.Mainly because they're the only ones DD2 will eat.

Daniel's getting a bit of a drubbing.

NotAnotherPackedLunch · 14/11/2013 20:20

I

NotAnotherPackedLunch · 14/11/2013 20:21

Ooops
So many of this lot had a bad round that I can't guess which two will be going home.

Tee2072 · 14/11/2013 20:24

I knew Daniel was gone. And I was pretty sure it would be Maria.

NotAnotherPackedLunch · 14/11/2013 20:26

Despite her caper and sultana sauce yesterday I liked Maria and hoped she scrape through.

Tee2072 · 14/11/2013 20:31

I'm still annoyed Vinny took his gauges out.

jezzasjockstrap · 14/11/2013 20:35

Stephen's got about £40 worth of fillet steak there. Who pays for the ingredients?

NotAnotherPackedLunch · 14/11/2013 20:35

Will the panacotta be wobbly enough for the critics this week?

NotAnotherPackedLunch · 14/11/2013 20:39

Stephen did quite well, but I'm not sure he has enough of the look of someone who hasn't seen daylight or fresh air for years to make it to the end. Grin
