BBC2, 8.30pm. Monica is back. Michel is back. Sadly, Greg is also back, but we can't have everything. This is my favourite Masterchef variant, so I am a happy bunny.

Got to be both surely?!

Jux · 03/12/2013 20:57

This the shot bit of this format. Why is one of them going home. Pit all 6 against each other, or have pairs for 3 nights like this, but keep all of thhem until a big 6 cook off. Then send some of them home.

This way is just silly.

GodRestTEEMerryGenTEEmen · 03/12/2013 20:57

I don't agree that Steven is that good.

But what do I know?

Morgan · 03/12/2013 20:57

They can't her rid of one surely !

Cremolafoam · 03/12/2013 20:58

Agree Jux
Like your way better

GodRestTEEMerryGenTEEmen · 03/12/2013 20:58

I agree Jux.

Jux · 03/12/2013 20:58

shit bit! The shit bit.

Hear that Greg?

flatmum · 03/12/2013 20:58

Completely agree. Reckon they'll put the both through tho.

GodRestTEEMerryGenTEEmen · 03/12/2013 20:58

At least they do things like that.

MirandaWest · 03/12/2013 20:58

That had to happen really :)

Cremolafoam · 03/12/2013 20:59

Wasn't a minty wafer between them.

Jux · 03/12/2013 20:59

OK, Greg. So you're off the hook today. But get it right next time.

GodRestTEEMerryGenTEEmen · 03/12/2013 21:00

Some how I don't think they'll both go through tomorrow.

SconeForAStroll · 03/12/2013 21:00

Glad they are both through.

flatmum · 03/12/2013 21:00

Good. As you were Greg.

Cremolafoam · 03/12/2013 21:01

Cremolafoam · 03/12/2013 21:02
  • snaffling. Jeez

Last year they did that (put both through from one of the semi-finals) and the catch was that in the first bit of the final week they had a cook off to knock one of the four out, as they can't cope with having more than three in the final proper.

I was pleased with tonight's result. Stephen has come on leaps and bounds. No more vanilla potatoes, I hope!

Tom vs David tomorrow. Tomorrow's chef looks a bit nastier than tonight's, who appeared to be barking but pleasant with it.

Maybe this draw - which was an absolute dead heat, will allow then to chuck both if they have a duff pair later in the week?

worldgonecrazy · 04/12/2013 08:30

theas18 that is what I was thinking - there are a couple who shouldn't be there, so they will probably send two home one night, and one home another, leaving the three for the final.

Now the final WILL be interesting because I couldn't separate Steve or Adam last night.

ViviPru · 04/12/2013 08:52

Hooray. Very happy that there's a 'draw' option for this round. Although it'd have been better had they not let on that it might be a possibility... would have been so much more exciting and warm-glow-inducing had the draw been a surprise.

From the moment they intimated at the top of the show that both could make it through, it was a foregone conclusion...

An amusing quote about GW I just read on another site:

"GW is a dead man walking. His introduction - 'Gregg Wallace, diner' - underlines his redundancy. We're all diners. He may as well be 'Gregg Wallace, breather,' or 'Gregg Wallace, mammal'."

Poor old Gregg."

GodRestTEEMerryGenTEEmen · 04/12/2013 19:55

I like that herb. It's so true!

SconeForAStroll · 04/12/2013 20:08

That is natural and un orchestrated?

OhYouMerryLittleKitten · 04/12/2013 20:10

Broccoli starter? :( I'd cry if that was on my menu.

And milk skin? Scuse me while I find the nearest bucket. Envy
