I'm still stupidly excited about the 'new' Troughton episodes, but just to add to the fun, Watch are showing some seriously classic episodes today from 2pm. Any else watching? And what are you looking forward to as we approach the anniversary episode and beyond?

Mavis I would have been on that one 8 years ago! but even though Ive gone off ecclestone it was his doc that got me converted to all things Who. and then watching all the old ones im like ''why the hell didn't I like this as a kid????''

my brother did, hes the worlds biggest lifelong sci-fi fan and he would whatch them so I KNEW about it but hated it, scared stiff of Davros and the daleks and the cybermen and the Wirrin at the time, but too scared to leave the room in case they jumped out of the tv at me!!!

now im as much a WHovian as he is, as is DC.

And when you here the whoosh before the music starts before you even see the trailer!
Who else here drops or stops everything to watch?
And don't you get ragey when people talk when the trailers are on?! I mean really! Even though we've seen the trailers loads the point is everyone shuts up and watches in awed silence. The noisy,inconsiderate feckers.

wish they wouldn't show teasers for the next episodes though, spoilers as Riversong would say, like the aliens of London one, at the end of the 1st part the slitheen are choking the unit and the doc and then (even tho we know hes going to get out of it) they showed the trailer fore the next one and hes running down the corridor! grrr.

ancelyn we have very few rules in this house but Rule #2 is No Talking When Doctor Who Is On.

I used to love Tom Baker when I was a kid but teenage years clashed with the tail end of Peter Davidson/start of Colin Baker and I went off it. Have been a fan of DT since the early 90s when he was in Takin Over the Asylum so really got back into Who then.

I love the fact that my 2 dcs are little Whovians themselves - they love it and I rarely have to remind them what the second rule of the house is!
