I'm still stupidly excited about the 'new' Troughton episodes, but just to add to the fun, Watch are showing some seriously classic episodes today from 2pm. Any else watching? And what are you looking forward to as we approach the anniversary episode and beyond?

young John Hurts face!!!!!!!!!!

MavicGravis · 16/11/2013 21:19

I know OYBBK - without wanting to out myself I'm going to a wedding which has been planned for ages, long before the date was announced.

Agree about the, um, finery that is Mr McGann. And I really enjoyed the Brian Cox timey-wimey stuff on Thursday. Just wish I could have understood more of it Smile

OhYouBadBadKitten · 16/11/2013 21:20

You see I feel vindicated! As a kid I seemed (to me) to be the only dr who fan in the world. Everyone else abandoned it after PD. if only I'd had the Internet! All I had was my trusty cassette recorder and my monthly dr who magazine waiting for me at the newsagents.
And here we are millions of years later and now it's popular!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 16/11/2013 21:21

Brian cox was magnificent! Grin

AnAdventureInSpaceAndTime · 16/11/2013 21:23

I'm not sure whether to go for this name change...

AnAdventureInCakeAndWine · 16/11/2013 21:24

...or this one, which is more me Grin but less obviously Whovian.

LetZygonsbeZygons · 16/11/2013 21:24

oh I do like Roger Federer David Morrisey!

I know weve all got Dr Who on the brain (of Morbeus!) but if any of you like star wars please join my Chewbacca thread, im a bit lonely on it!!

LetZygonsbeZygons · 16/11/2013 21:25

all WHO name changes totally acceptable and rather magnificent!!!!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 16/11/2013 21:26

Dd is more of a Star Wars fan than me (Luke Skywalker was one of her imaginary friends!)

I daren't change my name while there's potential snow. Confuses the weather threads a little bit.

LetZygonsbeZygons · 16/11/2013 21:29

you couold try ohyoubadbadK9 ?

MavicGravis · 16/11/2013 21:29

You have to be recognisable OYBBK - I love your weather musings (no pressure!).

TBH, I'm mainly happy for the total Tennant overload. I do luffs him so.

AnAdventureInCakeAndWine · 16/11/2013 21:30

OhYouBadBadKastrian?

MavicGravis · 16/11/2013 21:30

genius, zygons Grin

AnAdventureInCakeAndWine · 16/11/2013 21:31

Or OhYouBadBadKorven. Or OhYouBadBadKrillitane if you want to be more New Who.

PaulMcGannsMistress · 16/11/2013 21:32

Very excited for Tennant's return. Haven't been inspired to write him this time round, though, which is a shame. Might have a go after the actual episode, depending on what happens and how inspired I feel.

SecretNutellaFix · 16/11/2013 21:32

I shall be going to my alter ego tomorrow.

MavisKorvarian · 16/11/2013 21:33

Sorry, had another change... Loving OhYouBadBadKrillitane (brings back memories of excellent Mr Antony Head and thoughts once again turn to my ongoing Buffy marathon..)

LetZygonsbeZygons · 16/11/2013 21:35

StetsonsAreCool · 16/11/2013 21:53

Only just found this thread. I love watching dr who, but I don't think I would be worthy of being a proper whovian - I don't know enough of the history and I've only watched DT and MS (hence my name).

Am beyond excited about next week though. I really should sky+ some of the watch eps shouldn't I, so I can see some earlier doctors in action.

OhYouBadBadKaleds · 16/11/2013 21:56

Stetsons you should :) it's great spotting the links.

StetsonsAreCool · 16/11/2013 22:19

See, I do love doing stuff like that. One of the biggest things I've missed since RTD left is the big series story arcs, where you can look back through old episodes and see things that have been picked up later. Would be very cool to see where some of the references come from originally :)
