Starting a new thread as I used up the last two messages on the last one. Also this is my first thread I've ever started! A great subject to start with.

Didn't see last night's but the Roy and Hayley storyline is so sad,

Thought Fiz looked beautiful at the birthday party though, the actress playing her is much more attractive than the one s who play Tina (who I can't stand, just leave now) and Katy.

I like Sinead too, hope her and Chesney have a happy, uncomplicated relationship.

I think they are setting Tyrone and Fizz up as the new Vera and Jack couple. ie a basically stable forever couple. I want them to get married!

Ah I think Tina is beautiful but she's getting too fake looking with the veneers and the tan (even if it is real ). Fiz is looking well though. Hope she gets married to Ty and they can be happy forever,.

Surely between them they've been through enough trauma to last a lifetime!

I think Mary will turn out to be a tower of strength for Roy, but I don't want them to get together, Roy will stay faithful to Hayley's memory, and be a good grandad to Hope and Ruby.

I can see Mary and Roy getting together too.

Can't see Mary and Roy getting together and if they do I will be ANNOYED.

You can see that script writers don't quite know what to do with Mary - they've exhausted the Norris storyline, the Dev/nanny thing doesn't really work so I can see that making her love interest for Roy could be an option in new year.

No- mary doesnt hold a candle to Hayley and roy just wouldnt even have the thought enter his head.

She was most annoying as that character, I think they met on the Corrie set.

No No No, I can't bear it, I was a gibbering wreck last night by the time it was over Roy is amazing and why he is not showered with awards really annoys me, I have lots of episodes recorded for my mum as she has been away and I may stock up on the tissues when she comes down to watch them.

I am generally a big crier at soaps but last night I didn't shed a tear. I found the whole episode was so contrived, and at the end when Hayley was singing it reminded me of some 1970's-era TOTP thing with bizarre soft back-lighting. I just ended up annoyed and I really didn't want to be because Roy and Hayley are two of my favourites and I have already shed many tears over this story line. It felt really cliched to me and therefore fake, and usually I think Hayley and Roy are very realistic. :(

I hope they don't drag it out too long so that it ends up that you just want her to pop off so it can be over.

I know what you mean. I love the roy/ hayley storyline too and find it very sad. But when they were out the back and looking at the moon and she was being all cheesy...was a bit cringy. Shes almost better than that in a way?

It did get a bit cheesy on Friday. But the way Roy just sat, quietly, watching Hayley sing, was great, and there was a nice moment with Stella and Gloria.

Not sure what they should do with Mary, she's had so many totally bizarre plots that they can't really just have her settle down into normality with one of the regulars, but can't do any more bizarre stalkery stuff either. I think they should bring in a new man just for her and she can finally meet her soulmate. Does she still live in the campervan? Where is it parked?

There was a really cringey moment with hayley when roy brought her home from hospital and she said something About everything looking brighter, but it was the way she said it.

What does Mary actually do? She's had various odd jobs such as working in Roy's Rolls and the Bistro and seems to occasionally look after Aldi and Asda, but doesn't seem to have any regular income. Also she can't just live on the street in the camper van; she'd get moved on by the police. Perhaps there's a super-duper campsite with all facilities on the Red Rec.

There was a scene with her a few weeks ago, and she mentioned something about the cheek of Norris trying to charge her rent or something?

I think she was only staying there while Roy and Hayley took her camper van on their trip. The rest of the time she lives in her caravan.

I'm always wondering about the site of the motorhome. It needs to be somewhere where Mary can get drinking water to fill her tank and also somewhere where she can pour the contents of her toilet. Maybe there is a farm somewhere that she camps on. But even then there will be a restriction on how many days she can stay. I might have to email the SWs and ask only it's been bugging me for ages!

Have been on Digital Spy and looks quite exciting next week. Doesn't mention Hayley and Roy so maybe we will have a little break from the heartache.

Yes, they were both obsessed with competitions and met when they tied in a competition I think. They were fierce rivals. They won the motorhome jointly IIRC.

Michelle is annoying me, she seems to have forgotten that she only got the job because she was once related to Carla
