I can't watch Roy and Hayley without tears in my eyes- they are turning me into an emotional wreck! I don't think I have ever been so moved by a soap storyline actually

Hello all.

Not been on the thread for ages as I've moved & has the youngest (autistic as well) child started school.

Corrie is sad. We need a miracle to save Hayley.

What annoys me about Corrie is characters disappear. I've not seen last nights episodes so maybe they were in gem. But where's Dreary, Tracey-luv, Rob & Pete-th-Hunk?

I have to kind of zone out when Roy and Hayley are on screen it is just so heartbreaking. Everything they do now and every conversation they have is so poignant.

I've watched Corrie from long before Roy and Hayley joined the cast. I agree with the posts about the actor playing Roy being great. That final scene in Corrie last night with Roy was very sad. This emotional story line for might run for several more months and my box of hankies will be well done by then.

Me too, they could so easily have got Roy and Hayley badly wrong, as they don't conform to normal soap characteristics. They could have gone for the easy option of making their characters into victims but they have (on the whole) been a triumph and are definitely the sort of thing that sets Corrie apart from the other soaps for me. How did they write out Sylvia BTW, I've missed a lot this summer.
