Starting a new thread as I used up the last two messages on the last one. Also this is my first thread I've ever started! A great subject to start with.

It must be warm in Weatherfield; Leanne, Stella and Eva were all wearing sleeveless dresses when they were having a drink, and Kylie in the church. I'm surprised that church allows Corrie residents to use it; there are always unholy scenes. Perhaps that's why they seem to have such a high turnover of vicars.

Lighthousekeeping · 16/10/2013 23:12

I really enjoyed it too. Surely Liz won't get off with Michelle's dad? Who has Liz had a fumble with on the street? I keep getting her conquests mixed up with Diedres.

creepycadence · 16/10/2013 23:13

Aw the scenes with Roy and Hayley were so moving tonight. Good episode with the David/Nick/Kylie stuff finally coming to an end. I'm gutted they've spilt though.

Agree about Hayley's friend being weird. She's very nosey - when she was asking about Hayley's son and said - so he was born out of wedlock? - how cheeky!

DesperateHousewife21 · 17/10/2013 19:23

Liz was with Lloyd before she went away.

I really cant stand Michelle or her dad. Her constant whining and telling off. I just think oh fo fuck off when she comes on screen being all high and mighty. Her dad is a massive waste of time why is he even here??

DesperateHousewife21 · 17/10/2013 19:23

Do*!

WhoKnowsWhereTheBonnetsGo · 17/10/2013 19:47

Liz was also with Owen briefly, hence the narky conversation with him and Anna. I think he two timed Eileen with Liz. She was married before to that drummer with the cowboy hat (Tricky Dicky from EE) and therefore indirectly reponsible for the introduction of Michelle as a singer with his band.

Blackpool scenes were fabulous - there's a great behind the scenes video here.

I enjoyed watching Steve squirm too, great gurning. Michelle and Liz could gang up on him I think. Michelle's dad is awful, he wasn't like that before IIRC?

It's been warm enough for short sleeves here today Smile. Stella and family are really growing on me now they're leaving. I don't know who to feel sorry for in the whole Platt debacle, none of them comes out well from it.

creepycadence · 17/10/2013 20:09

I really like Stella's family, they're a good bunch, 3 generations of women sticking together. Though Gloria does annoy me a bit. I like their relationships with one another though.

DesperateHousewife21 · 17/10/2013 21:27

I like the Stella clan too.

ooh yes I remember the drummer with the cowboy hat, I liked him!

LazyGaga · 17/10/2013 22:22

Vern! He was funny. I thought Liz and Lloyd made a good couple but she just seemed to cool off on him overnight, was weird. My phone keeps correcting Liz to Lizard!

I think Michelle's dad has been like that every time he's been in (minus the goatee). How could the lovely Liam sprang forth from those loins?

I don't think Hayley's pal is after money, but I do think she's going to put ideas in her head about ending it all before it becomes to unbearable.

I feel very sorry for David actually. However it's given the scriptwriters a handy way to tie it in with Tommy getting the sack leaving Weatherfield, from what I've read.

LazyGaga · 17/10/2013 22:25

'sprang' Confused

... have sprung forth etc etc. ..

BreconBeBuggered · 17/10/2013 23:43

I can't watch any of the scenes from the Rovers without wondering where young Stevie Mac suddenly got all that hair from. Surely there used to be mostly skin on the top of his head?

DesperateHousewife21 · 18/10/2013 16:20

Lazygaga- Lizard is prob more accurate Grin

DesperateHousewife21 · 20/10/2013 16:56

Ermm...where is everyone? Grin

Thought there would be much talk about Roy and Hayley.

WhoKnowsWhereTheSlimeGoes · 20/10/2013 17:06

Haven't had time to watch it yet.

Pegfreak · 21/10/2013 16:05

I can see both Hayley and Roy's points of view but I have to say I'm siding more with Hayley, it's her life and death after all. I do sympathise with Roy too but it's not a view I hold. I hope they can come to some compromise soon.

In other news, thank fuck Michelle's booked two tickets for Dublin. Grin

When someone asked David what he'd do he said something along the lines of "Dunno, stay at a mate's". I didn't know he had any.

I hadn't noticed how annoying Fiz was until you lot mentioned it. Dammit.

MrsSJG · 21/10/2013 19:57

You could see that Sally was talking from her real life experience

Pegfreak · 22/10/2013 15:04

I thought those were good scenes between Roy and Sally, especially when Roy thanked her for sharing that. There's not enough quiet dignity in soaps I'm looking at you Eastenders.

DesperateHousewife21 · 22/10/2013 17:12

I thought that too MrsSJG.

FannyMcNally · 23/10/2013 08:13

On a lighter note, I'm going to love Liz! Great put-downs, a match for Tracey and a hen-pecker for Steve. Already she's made an enemy of Beth and it sounds like Anna might have to keep her away from Owen! Lovely stuff!

DesperateHousewife21 · 23/10/2013 09:43

The convo between Liz and Beth was hilarious!

Also I love seeing what Liz is doing with her hair/ clothes/ make up its so tacky and outrageous! When she first got back from Spain she had sparkly ribbon things in her hair.

MurielTheActor · 23/10/2013 10:16

I've said for a long time over and over again that David Neilson is the best actor on telly. Good to see him rewarded by some award or other...
SO going out on a limb here to say that he is better actor than Hayley and it is his, yes PegFreak quiet dignity that is the real pull here.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 23/10/2013 10:40

I'm on holiday ? Am I missing much ?

Impomea · 23/10/2013 10:56

I like Liz and missed her when she left but now Imiss the StElla Gloria combo. Am sure Liz will grow on me but she does seem to be a bit too Bett now.

I thought Ratboy owned the house .How can Gail ban him from his own property ?

Ladytron · 23/10/2013 20:03

So now we know what happened to Tommy.
Tracey back to her bitchy best Grin

NuggetofPurestGreen · 23/10/2013 20:05

Well it's Kylie's house too I suppose so can she kick him out??

How ridiculous was that Tommy exit bit? He knows David an Tina are friends, he was grand last week when Kylie was accusing Tina of the affair. They could have come up with something better.... Like a sick relative. They love that one!
