This is a thread for all fans of the weekday soap 'Doctors', BBC1, 1.45pm.

Right, now the stalker storyline is out of the way, I think it's time to channel our inner Howard and whip this programme into shape:

  1. Every opportunity must be taken to get TBFE in his fishing or army gear and get him all ruffly haired.
  1. Heston must stop messing about with restaurant reviews (and that reptilian Emma) and realise his love for Mrs T.
  1. Mrs T should wear her flirty wig (see note 2).
  1. Zara will continue to master acting purely by moving her eyebrows and saying "really?".
  1. The Gobbys will appear in as many episodes as possible to add comedy value.

So line up troops and let's march into the world of WTF!

Everyone is welcome, newbies, regulars and even cast members (arf).

I don't have an heels but my feet are much bigger than Raahh's! Dh gives me grief about my height as his ex was 5'10 I'll have to mention your height Wink

That's so :( AnneEyhtMeyer, hope it doesn't make you want to stay away.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 18/09/2013 07:54

No, could never stay away from the Doctors thread. it is the only reason I haven't left Mumsnet!

My feet are size 6.5 or 7 depending on the make. You would only need one of my shoes for both your feet, Raahh!

curlyclaz13 · 18/09/2013 12:22

will have to record today and tomorrow ! first baby massage class today and second lot of injections tomorrow. Don't these people know I have tv to watch Shock Grin

AnneEyhtMeyer · 18/09/2013 13:54

Aagghh! Forgot the time! Just watching now, so about 10 minutes behind.

Gobby is toast when Zara finds out.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 18/09/2013 13:56

Anyone here today? I'm starting to worry about Joe.

cinnamongreyhound · 18/09/2013 13:57

Looks like once they tell the truth it'll be fine. Who said he's going to have some illness, hope he doesn't :(

Ds2 went to preschool for the first time today, he came out saying 'I cried and cried and cried cos I wanted you' :(. I said did you have fun he said yes so I said you going Friday and he said 'no I be scared cos you not there' :(

Is this woman going to randomly search South Africa?

AlphaBetaOoda · 18/09/2013 14:00

Daniel actually feels like good acting. SW good too.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 18/09/2013 14:01

I've missed a few episodes, but random bruises can be a sign of leuakaemia? I think.

Poor DS2 and poor you Cinnamon, those moments are heartbreaking.

cinnamongreyhound · 18/09/2013 14:01

That's what I just said to dh, poor Joe :(

AnneEyhtMeyer · 18/09/2013 14:07

I hope he doesn't have leukaemia.

The South African story is bizarre.

cinnamongreyhound · 18/09/2013 14:13

It's not like Zara hasn't had enough stress since she started trying to get pregnant, she obviously needs an even tougher time!

AnneEyhtMeyer · 18/09/2013 14:21

Oh that was a grim episode. Poor Zaniel.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 18/09/2013 15:55

I've been feeling slightly sad all afternoon following that, the South Africa storyline didn't do much to offset the gloom. Although it did give Mrs T a little detective moment (I think, I was busy typing at that moment).

leezl · 18/09/2013 16:09

Oh dear, I've been working today so didn't watch (of course you missed me Wink) but it sounds rather depressing! Got Holby and The Midwives and two days of Eastenders to catch up on tonight, so probably gonna back-to-back tomorrow! :)
Hope everyone's well!

AlphaBetaOoda · 18/09/2013 19:34

Been thinking about the SW story. Is there ever a soap story with actual abuse rather than over zealous SW/ rare illness?

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 18/09/2013 20:41

There was a PND storyline in Corrie, Claire Peacock tried to kill her baby Sad. There was also a historical child abuse storyline with Eileen's father and her teenage best friend.

MsNobodyAgain · 18/09/2013 20:51

I had a horrible day (the ex was involved...'nuff said).

Based on the thread I think I will zip through the last two episodes tomorrow. Right now I need to think about fluffy bunnies and rainbows .

Note to self - stay away from ebay. Grin

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 18/09/2013 21:00

Sorry to hear that MsN - I would not recommend today's to anyone who has had a bad day to be honest, it was quite unsettling.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 18/09/2013 21:06

Is this what you were thinking of, MsN?

toldmywrath · 18/09/2013 21:16

Just checking in, caught up with viewing. Hectic few days here.
Anne Sorry to hear about your aunt.
MsNo the storyline is grim, so watch a bit of GIMP instead-you might catch Brummie Mrs T!
Brew & Thanks to all who need cheering up.
Staines is now called Staines upon Thames don'tcherknow?( My eldest DS used to live in Englefield Green-about 5miles from there)

MsNobodyAgain · 18/09/2013 21:33

who and told, yes I think much fast forwarding will be done tomorrow. The initials 'GIMP' appeal to my childish sense of humour.

Anne perfect!

Bed for me. Last night was full of weird dreams. My ex boss driving me somewhere we never got to and I woke up sweating. Niiiiiiiice!

curlyclaz13 · 18/09/2013 21:39

Due to being a dullard (or two weeks of waking every hour) I forgot to record so my lucky OH got to watch on catch up, according to him the sw was on family affairs.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 18/09/2013 22:05

I'll be at work tomorrow, so won't be able to watch live. Today didn't get any better, picked DS up from school and he was really upset because he had to miss the football team try-outs at lunchtime because his PE kit went missing, he'd been looking forward to it all term Sad. He's been OK this evening, it's just me feeling all miserable thinking of him looking everywhere and not being able to find it and being all sad and angry. It had fallen off his peg and into a shoe rack below, but presumably it was buried under masses of coats and bags when he looked (all gone once I went in).

My friend put a good joke on FB this afternoon though, hang on a second......

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 18/09/2013 22:08

Man in supermarket: “I’d like something in breadcrumbs for tea”
Shop Assistant: “Bird’s Eye?”
Man: “No, that sounds horrible”

cinnamongreyhound · 18/09/2013 22:11

That's really :( WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes.

I didn't help today either with my woes over ds2! Ds1 was kept in at lunchtime for not doing enough writing, he's 6 Shock will be speaking to teacher tomorrow!!!!

Ds2 has a birthday party 12-2 tomorrow so I will be watching on catch up too.
