Watching as I remember this news story. Rather surprised that both parents allowed a film crew to follow their son's progress and airing their views so publicly. I'm not sure I understand what they hope to gain from doing this.

They both think they're in the right.

canyou · 13/08/2013 21:13

I agree both have valid arguments

difficultpickle · 13/08/2013 21:13

Obviously, which is why it ended up in court. Why make a tv programme about it?

Linda blaming TV for brain tumors - right. ok.

Just because he was running around doesn't mean he was well!

sunshineandhappy · 13/08/2013 21:14

That Linda woman is dangerous. If that child needed radiotherapy, oxygen therapy is not going to heal him.

difficultpickle · 13/08/2013 21:14

I'm struggling to see how sitting in an oxygen chamber can get rid of a brain tumour Confused

I hate these alternative therapy people, they promise things they can't deliver to people at the most desperate times of their lives

MakeTeaNotWar · 13/08/2013 21:14

Watching ..... Can't believe she is accusing doctors of being corrupt, brainwashed by Big Pharma!

canyou · 13/08/2013 21:15

oops posted too soon. if it was me I would use boh in conjunction with one another Many family members have us conventional and alternative with good result

sunshineandhappy · 13/08/2013 21:16

I have every sympathy with any parent given such devastating news, but running away from treatment that may cure him vs a cancer that will definitely kill him?!? I'd rather gamble on side effects.

girliefriend · 13/08/2013 21:17

I'm watching, really wanted to give the mum the benefit of the doubt but am struggling tbh. She seems quite deluded atm.

Poor little boy though, he seems adorable and my heart breaks for what he has been through Sad same age as my dd, I can't imagine how terrifying it must be for the parents, makes me feel sick just thinking about it.

georgedawes · 13/08/2013 21:18

I'm gobsmacked by that parasitic charlatan

jumpingpillows · 13/08/2013 21:18

The point that radio therapy where there is little hope of a recovery is sometimes more damaging is true in that the side effects are cruel and debilitating.

MrsHelsBels74 · 13/08/2013 21:22

Just turned it on, she's a bit worthy isn't she?

Moxiegirl · 13/08/2013 21:22

What's wrong with weetabix?

ImpatientOne · 13/08/2013 21:22

Shock just Shock

MrsHelsBels74 · 13/08/2013 21:23

Are her kids really called Neon & Elektra?

difficultpickle · 13/08/2013 21:24

I think he is on a special diet. I was a bit Hmm at his mother telling her SIL that she had to spend £240 on a juicer. Why wouldn't she lend her hers?

OP posts:
MakeTeaNotWar · 13/08/2013 21:24

Missed the weetabix reference - what was said?

MrsHelsBels74 · 13/08/2013 21:24

She just said he's not allowed weetabix

AKissIsNotAContract · 13/08/2013 21:25

I missed the start. Is the other lady Sally's exes partner?

ImpatientOne · 13/08/2013 21:26

No it's his sister

difficultpickle · 13/08/2013 21:26

Now that I find weird. I can't imagine a scenario where I wouldn't want to see my son before major surgery, even if I was against it.

OP posts:
girliefriend · 13/08/2013 21:26

Oh dear the poor kid, am crying now.

The dad seems really nice and sensible.

MrsHelsBels74 · 13/08/2013 21:27

Yeah I think it's wrong she didn't see him before his surgery, regardless of whether she agreed with it or not.
