Well, when I say almost what I mean is the 29th September in the US, and I think we were a week behind last series so early October - roll on the Autumn.

Saul is a little despot and I don't believe he wanted to spare Mrs Saul's blushes as everything he has done seems to have a hidden Saul agenda attached to it.

Abu Nazir did call him Nicholas...the only one who appealed to the inner him rather than used his army name?

Majestic when Brody escaped in Caracas he sought sanctury at a mosque which resulted in the death of the Iman and his wife when Brody's captors came to recapture him.

No Quinn this week

I am thinking Saul is evil or at the very least hugely egocentric.

I have no expectation that Brody will return from Iran or be in the next series.

Was that the last one of this series ?

bisjo Quinn was in it very briefly when Saul was instructing him to go get Alain and throw him in a dark hole. Presumably he must have then stabbed him through the hand been very persuasive as Alain had confessed all by the time Saul went to see Lockhart. I thought Mossad agents were made of sterner stuff.

I was surprised at how fullsome Alain was in his confession but of course we don't know how they made him confess (dinner date with Quinn?).

I'm a little suspicious as to whether Alain has confessed at all. I wouldn't put it past Saul just to nab him and put him somewhere out of the way. After all there's no love lost there!

Lovely to see Virgil and Max back . I think they are my two favourite goodies.

I saw Quinn lurking in an office looking handsome and slightly dangerous.

Re the confession - they knew it all anyway, befriending Mira, bugging house, traced to safe house (Virgil & Max did the tracking in Saul's house) and then photo of him & Lockhart. Plus he probably reckoned Lockhart would protect him after the confession as he's the incoming head of the CIA.

It was a good episode. Ignoring the daft 16 day transformation to super marine. Lockhart is a bit of a cartoon baddy but at least it adds some tension and the locking him in the conference room last week was unexpected and great fun. Estes was more sinister because we didn't really know what he was up to, but we do have that now in Dar Salieri.

If Brody manages to succeed in killing Big Iranian Baddy (big if as prob loads of twists and turns and betrayals or cock-ups ahead) then how on earth could they rehabilitate him in the US? There's no explaining away the tape which was broadcast and they can't say "he did it for his country and killed the BIB cos the plan is for peace with the Iranians.

The yummy doc will die on the Iran mission because he mentioned his family. That will spur Brody on to survive and get back to Dana and her eyebrows and get speech therapy for Silent Chris.

He was 'assigned' to her, possibly after the Langley bombing as a way of getting to Saul.

I'd have liked a few lines about Javadi's tradecraft/plans - it all happened v quickly and there has to be a follow-up to the "you belong to us now".

If the Iranians were behind the Langley bombing, why do the CIA think Iran would offer asylum to Brody (the man who the world thinks did the bombing?). Would that not be publically linking themselves with an enemy of America and proving a link to the bombing?
