Well, when I say almost what I mean is the 29th September in the US, and I think we were a week behind last series so early October - roll on the Autumn.

. One of the comments says that at the end Brodie says in Arabic "I am a muslim lost in this world..help me come clean again".

I CANNOT wait. I've missed Carrie so much. And Saul. Anyone sad enough to join me in the anticipation?

He is godlike - it's true. Godlike and also not a baddie. Picture his face - could that be the face of a baddie? He's finding Brody because that's the Right Thing To Do. And I bet the $10 million was his own - that's how good he is.

This is my theory -Saul knows Brody didn't do the bombing but will bring him back home and present him as the bomber to keep his new Iranian asset safe.
Carrie won't be happy.

GypsyFloss · 24/11/2013 22:44

Haha yes Hassled most definitely the face of an inscrutable baddie. He only wants Brody to play him. I think Saul has become power crazed.

Coffee I suspect you might be right.

northender · 24/11/2013 22:45

I agree, tonight was good. Surely now there will be no trace of the real bomber as the acid has dissolved him. If Saul brings back Brodie as the bomber then Carrie isn't going to cooperate with Saul any more. What conspiracy does Carrie suspect that she whispered to Quinn?
The bugging and security issues persist too. Carries place would surely be bugged by someone and Saul would def have better securityHmm
Yes, a better ep but I'm no clearer as to what's going on!

Hassled · 24/11/2013 22:52

The secret "hotline to Saul" phone in the kitchen cupboard baffles the hell out of me, I have to say. Why the kitchen cupboard?

What if - Saul is good (obvs), Mrs Saul is bad, but Alain is working for Saul. Maybe he's testing her?

GypsyFloss · 24/11/2013 23:10

Saul's about face from hardly talking to her , to suddenly bringing her food in bed is weird. Are we supposed to believe that now he has turned Javadi that's a weight off his mind and he can go back to being a normal husband?

I reckon she's dabbled on the dark side and Alan's job is to keep her there. I'm assuming she is Iranian , as she was in the photo with Saul and Javadi from years ago.

whoneedstosleep · 24/11/2013 23:11

Did miss who the father of Carrie's baby is?

NadiaWadia · 24/11/2013 23:27

But isn't Saul's wife Indian (not just the actress)? I thought this was mentioned in conversation between her and Saul in a previous season, when she left for a while to 'go home'?

onedev · 24/11/2013 23:31

Brody is the dad Grin.

Good theory coffee. Really enjoyed tonight's show but do find it strange that given Sauls position, his house can be accessed so easily!!

NadiaWadia · 24/11/2013 23:32

whoneeds I was assuming Carrie's babyfather is Brody. Or has too much time gone by for that?

polyhymnia · 25/11/2013 00:09

Maybe the kitchen cupboard is a small deep freeze as I've heard it's harder to hack into your phone if you keep it in the deep freeze .

Lagoonablue · 25/11/2013 06:59

Right where is the blog so Incan read ahead please.

Not enough Quinn tonight for me. I loooooove him.

Good episode tonight though.

coffeeinbed · 25/11/2013 10:37

So, after I slept on it and stewed during the morning commute - Saul is good but misguided. Too principled, too black and white. Carrie sees the shades in-between he misses. (Didn't want o use shades of grey for obi. reasons!)

he wants to keep the top job badly, because he thinks he's the best and it's for the good of everybody and seeing the Senator, who can blame him. So he needs something big and he will produce Brody. And he will keep Zawadi.

Mrs Saul had a midlife crisis and the baddies used her by providing a toy boy a new love of her life. She's not bad, just used.

GypsyFloss · 25/11/2013 11:11

I would like to read that blog too please :)

Saul uses everyone around him, that makes him very dangerous to know . Everyone is a pawn in his big game.

I think you might be right in that he will offer up Brody .

Hassled · 25/11/2013 17:11

Guardian blog. I especially like: ""Someone who was at Langley that day did the bombing" – that's why Carrie is a top CIA agent, everyone."

Comments also well worth a read.

TensionWheelsCoolHeels · 25/11/2013 17:24

I've just remembered that I was a bit pissed off when they finally showed us the Langley bomber - he is, of course, no one interesting/we've never seen before/conveniently expendable for the purpose of whatever story they are contriving over who told the bomber to plant the bomb/move the car. At least if it had been someone who actually featured in the bombing episode, it wouldn't feel like it was just a rushed plot device to expand that storyline so they can squeeze another series out of this.

barcroft · 25/11/2013 17:32

I do feel so sorry for Brody. His head and body have been fucked around by many sides (well, 3 - the foreign baddies, the US baddies, and now Saul) for so long. It's like he's the pawn in the centre of all this. No wonder he's in the maze with Carrie in the opening credits!

Should be a chessboard really but then there's the added symbolism of him being lost.

cocolepew · 25/11/2013 17:36

Mrs Saul went home to Mumbai. Presume she was in the Iranian photo because she lived there with Saul The Bad.

I think dishy, French ex boyfriend is spying on her in a stalker type way.

TensionWheelsCoolHeels · 25/11/2013 17:41

I think mrs saul's exbf has no stalkerish qualities but is only interest in her husband. They've tried to set him up as a love-crazed ex but given the wider context, I think it's highly unlikely he's just nuts about her.

barcroft · 25/11/2013 17:44

You'd think Saul would have bug-proofed his home, as mentioned earlier in the thread

Unless he's deliberately spying on Mrs Saul!

cocolepew · 25/11/2013 17:44

Hopefully The Senator will be disposed of before he gets to be the CIA big cheese. He's very irritating.

GypsyFloss · 25/11/2013 17:47

I'm sure Saul can have that arranged coco Grin

cocolepew · 25/11/2013 18:32
Grin
HazeltheMcWitch · 25/11/2013 19:32

Ex-lover Alain is not just a love-crazed ex. He is a baddie.

My proof? He is played by the actor, William Abadie !!
