They've probably decided Katie is too minxy to be going out with Chesney and will have her paired off with the next hottie or two to come along.

Why on earth do attractive women keep trying to get Chesney upstairs? First Katy last week and last night Sinead. In Weatherfield he's some sort of stud.

You could understand if it was Peter Barlow. He's dreamy.

I didn't like the way they have written out Sylvia, saying she couldn't cope! They could easily have written a supportive role for her but kept her out of sight. Not fair.

Wonderfully moving last night. Especially the phone call between Roy and Fiz. No words needed, simplicity itself but so much meaning.

I read somewhere that Hayley wanted to go but Roy wanted to stay. The producers did not feel that there was any way they could separate them without her dying. They are definitely a 'till death' couple. And either they left together or she had to die. It is horrible but at least this way they have time before she goes and it will be a beautiful send off for such a great character/actress. Corrie do these things so well.

I agree about Katie and Chesney getting back together for all of 24 hours, also the pointless Sally dating-on-line story. I just wonder if they are writing snippets to fill in where they've had to delete scenes due to off-screen shenanigans.

Fanny. I sort of agree but I think Stephanie Cole had a health issue and just couldn't do the role. I think it would have been unrealistic if she was off screen but there.

I do agree that they could have come up with something more in keeping with heart of gold character. Despite her snippy remarks, she was very kind.

I reckon they should have done something like visiting a sick relative and breaking her leg while she was there.

I am a lifelong Corrie watcher[most episodes], but always stay away from spoilers, so was shocked actually on monday!.

Though from a plotline pov, I like it.
I have got so fed up with soapland where people get ill, fair enough, some end up in hospital, fair enough. But then we always have the "he may be brained damaged" part, and they never ever are.

Think that Carla will be a great support to Hayley cos underneath all the slap and designer gear she has a heart of gold.

I dunno about that Carla. She aggressively went after her best friend's husband. She was nice to Fiz and Tyrone though so I'm undecided. And she is being nice to our Ayley too....

In fairness I cry at everything. Was crying at Kat and Whitney's two hander about being abused a few weeks ago (Enders). And obviously bawling at Gennie's funeral and death on Emmerdale. I spend more time crying at soaps than not it seems .

I blubbed my eyes out at Mondays episodes the whole thing is very well written all the characters reactions are spot on and I'm glad that they acknowledged that Sally had cancer rather than that being washed over. Shame about Sylvia loved her character but if she's ill in real life then the writers had to do something and I think they are running out of poorly far away relatives

Carla's voice drives me mad. She never spoke like that on Dream Team, her voice was lower and she didn't talk through her nose. She had exactly the same eyebrows though, years before HD brows

I have had to resort to fast forwarding through all the Hayley scenes!! I blubbed my eyes out on Monday and couldn't sleep Monday night!! My dad died of cancer and it is so brilliantly written that it is too true for life. My sister has stopped watching till storyline over but I can't want to see Karl outed!!!

mind you Wednesdays episode revolved around Hayley so only had about seven minutes to watch!!
