The house thing is a bit if a mystery to me, we suspect that she is Up To Something. Paul was playing darts with Steve and was winning but his dart fell out so Steve claimed victory (I think) so Paul said "play the white man"

janesnowdon1 · 04/08/2013 22:17

Eileen's bloke was playing darts with Steve and told him "to play the white man" which he said was phrase his dad used (means to play fair). He said it just as Lloyd and Jenna came into the pub and it upset Lloyd but trouser smell would not apologise.

We think Emily is playing a trick on Norris showing him how expensive and onerous it is to own a house (so I suppose he will hand it back)

ChocsAwayInMyGob · 04/08/2013 22:19

Emily hurt her ankle and Norris selflessly worried about where he would live if she died. She therefore gave the house to him (and all the bills).

Clever Emily is now living rent and bill free in her own house whilst Norris pays the bills and worries about house maintenance.

SlatternismyMiddlename · 04/08/2013 22:41

Thanks!

Bakingnovice · 04/08/2013 23:27

Did anyone else find it hilarious that 85 year old Emily fell from a ladder into the concrete pavement, flat on her back, banging her head and spine on the floor, and just ended up with a twisted ankle?? Who writes this shit!

Begginyouformercy · 05/08/2013 11:35

What's the news of your sister today, Melika? Flowers

Don't want Sylvia to go. Sad

Begginyouformercy · 05/08/2013 14:11

Have just watched the latest episodes. I hope they hurry up with the David/Nick thing cos I'm getting a bit bored with it. Here's hoping Leanne will STFU cos her voice is grating on my nerves. Gail has just turned into a complete fool now - has she always been like that? That's also boring to watch.

Mandy, what a miserable bugger. Lighten up, FFS - lots of folk who go to uni don't have the jobs for which they trained.

I think Mary's a great character - "Babies are magical, like sodastreams" Grin Grin. Also Eva has great potential - I hope she gets a decent storyline soon.

whatkungfuthat · 05/08/2013 14:44

Eva has been abandoned lately, I was glad to see her back.

DesperateHousewife21 · 05/08/2013 15:20

David reveals to Nick tonight so hopefully it'll all be out in the open soon.

Can Jenna never be a physio ever again or is it just a certain time period?
Is it that much of an offence to be struck off forever?

Lighthousekeeping · 05/08/2013 18:08

I don't know but I wish she'd bug gar off and take her miserable young girlfriend with her.

lovelychops · 05/08/2013 18:19

Hope miserable Mandy headband leaves soon, she'd not be fun to be around!

squoosh · 05/08/2013 19:43

Tina has reached a new level of nuclear orange!

AnneEyhtMeyer · 05/08/2013 19:55

I think she spent her holiday in a tanning spray booth!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 05/08/2013 20:43

David Platt is doing his mouth hanging open gormless look

squoosh · 05/08/2013 20:45

I have just realised that he is the image of John Simm.

Puts me right off Mr Simm.

squoosh · 05/08/2013 20:54

Ooooooooooooooh I wasn't expecting that! Shock

whatkungfuthat · 05/08/2013 20:58

We are in for another Leanne bedside vigil I expect. At least boring Mandy might get less airtime, why was the point of bringing her and the equally boring daughter in? It's clear that it hasn't worked.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 05/08/2013 21:03

Oh my, he is the spitting image of him, Squoosh. Shock I've never noticed that before. The next time they get a new actor for Nick they should definitely cast him.

DesperateHousewife21 · 05/08/2013 21:03

Mother and daughter are as miserable as each other, get rid!

Lighthousekeeping · 05/08/2013 21:08

I didn't really understand what they were arguing about in the van.

scarlet5tyger · 05/08/2013 22:22

Flowers for Melika, hope you have lots of support in RL.

I think the writers chose Pancreatic cancer specifically to raise awareness, and funding. It's one of the least known and supported cancer research areas which is why it hasn't had some of the breakthroughs that have been made with other cancers. I know it's already close to Julie Hesmondhalgh's heart and she's started a petition to increase funding for research.

The petition she's promoting can be found here

scarlet5tyger · 05/08/2013 22:23

Sorry, I should clarify its not her petition, but she is promoting is.

Mistyshore · 05/08/2013 23:11

Did anyone else notice the reference to baby Jake looking like Tina? I really hope he turns out to be Tina and Tommy's.

squoosh · 05/08/2013 23:19

Oh yeah! Well spotted, I didn't think anything of it. Is that going to be the next dramatic storyline, to be revealed on Christmas Day most probably!

Lighthousekeeping · 05/08/2013 23:22

Yes I noticed that straight away. How will it come up I wonder?
