If he felt that strongly about it he wouldn't have agreed to be part of team GB last year. Until parliament decides otherwise Scottish is an ethnicity, not a nationality.

Well, I have to admit to having the blue and white polka dot bunting out today, as I was born in Glasgow of Scottish parentage, but live in England. I see myself as British, but support a Scot or Scottish team when they are playing a sport. When England play, I support them and have red and white polka dot bunting which goes out. In the Olympics I had both the blue and white, and the red and white bunting out to support Team GB. In fact, I alternated the triangles. Yes, you've guessed it, I am slightly mad, and also had a lot of time on my hands last year, and got carried away with bunting making!

I couldn't give a shiny shit, who thinks what about this, I am proud that a young man, with the expectations of a nation on his shoulders pulled it out the bag. Regardless of whether anyone "likes" him surely he deserves a pat on the back and a well done, even from his haterz. Just because he is a sportsman, it doesn't mean he has to be the chirpiest, most likeable person in the world.

What I will say is, if you haven't, watch the documentary they did about him. See him speak about him and Kim, his childhood, his family and what happened to him the day a nutjob went berserk in his school with a gun. If you still think he is a cold fish, then IMHO that says much more about you than it does him.

Lets be clear alex salmond is a fool with no class. Personally I think he is very anti English but that's my personal feeling. I couldn't imagine sir Chris hoy behaving in such a crass manner.
