Taking nothing away from Andy, I agree that Djok v Potato was the match of the tournament.

Agree alex salmond is a prat. He will get his comeuppance next year for sure. What a un dignified thing to do.

He doesn't like being interviewed. He says that back when he first started winning, he did an interview and the interviewer took what he said the wrong way and reported it as such. That's where this sulky, I hate the world attitude that people think he has has come from. He said he has been wary of interviews ever since.

It's been really exciting this year - mixing up the shots, loads of tricky stuff that you think someone has no chance of returning and then they do. Hugely entertaining - unlike the olden days when the men's game was just ace after ace after ace.

tbh, I think AM was actually quite shell shocked...too shell shocked to remember to do anything like hug his Mum. He seemed absolutely bewildered in a "I cant believe tis is real and I've done it" way.

I agree that the Djoko/Del Potato match was the absolute match of the tournament. The final was good,but in no way a classic. But it will be remembered as such, because Andy won. Deservedly so, but there have been better finals.

Actuallyl, he did mention his mum in the speech, and I am sure there will be lots of thankyous in private as it should be. You are disappointed by that after what has been achieved today. Really?!
