Here we are wonderful Wednesday
ORDER OF PLAY

Of course I'm rooting for Ferrer- Vamos! But would love Del Potato to dowell too,so torn.
Kubot/Janowicz, bit difficult to call really.
Would love Berdych to triumph over Djoko- (then Ferrer can whup him in the semi'sGrin)
Am going for Verdasco- obs, as he's Spanish, and it would be wrong not tooGrin - I'm sure Murray is not without support!Grin

here's to a limited rain disruption!

Oh God love him.

Raahh · 03/07/2013 13:19

This is one of the saddest things I've seen ever at Wimbledon. Horrible for himSad

NotAQueef · 03/07/2013 13:19

he is so talented but is blighted by injuries Sad

JaquelineHyde · 03/07/2013 13:20

Oh this is horrible! Sad

MirandaWest · 03/07/2013 13:20

Oh poor him :(

siezethenight · 03/07/2013 13:20

He's not going to retire? How will he play properly? I will be wincing all the way through now.

JaquelineHyde · 03/07/2013 13:20

How long do we think he will last then?

FarleyD · 03/07/2013 13:20

Oh no, don't do it Juan.

FarleyD · 03/07/2013 13:21

I do feel for Ferrer as well.

DevlinMaccabee · 03/07/2013 13:21

Poor Del Potro! Well done for getting back up!

FarleyD · 03/07/2013 13:21

He can't go on can he.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 03/07/2013 13:21

Poor poor man.

HappyAsEyeAm · 03/07/2013 13:22

To his enormous credit, he is trying. But how scared must he be of stretching? I cannot see how he can continue to play on let alone play competitively.

JaquelineHyde · 03/07/2013 13:22

Oh God he is clearly in pain, I'm not sure he will get to the end of the set Sad

NotAQueef · 03/07/2013 13:22

I'm rooting for him now to win.

Raahh · 03/07/2013 13:22

i really don't think he should continue- if it gets worse, it might put him out of the US as well, and lord knows what else.

How is Del Potro only 24??? He seems to have been around for ages!! I think he needs to call it quits now tbh Sad

If he does, does that mean Mr Murray will be on soon (silver lining and all that Wink)

BBMs · 03/07/2013 13:23

I think he's making a mistake... If he really fucks his knee up, that's the rest of his career gone!

HappyAsEyeAm · 03/07/2013 13:23

I think he will test out his serve, and then retire. So sad for him.

FarleyD · 03/07/2013 13:24

God how must his parents feel if they saw that? You'd just want to grab him and hug him wouldn't you. If I was his Mum I'd say "It's all right love, you go and sit down, I'll play for you".

This is shit.

NotAQueef · 03/07/2013 13:24

That's the thing isn't - the long game - it could be career ending if he wrecks it any more.

NotAQueef · 03/07/2013 13:26

Ferrer must feel a bit torn - on the one hand he knows he doesn't have to do much to win, but on the other hand he doesn't want to take the piss and run him ragged

Raahh · 03/07/2013 13:26

Gutted. Awful for Ferrer to play against him- how do you deal with that? Not the way I wanted him to win, hopefully Del Potro will give himself chance to recover properly after this. his serve is a huge weapon- i hope it doesn't let him down.

It's not going to be a 5-setterSad.

siezethenight · 03/07/2013 13:27

I feel so sad... He's limping.

NotAQueef · 03/07/2013 13:28

Yay! a game on the board.
