Here we are wonderful Wednesday
ORDER OF PLAY

Of course I'm rooting for Ferrer- Vamos! But would love Del Potato to dowell too,so torn.
Kubot/Janowicz, bit difficult to call really.
Would love Berdych to triumph over Djoko- (then Ferrer can whup him in the semi'sGrin)
Am going for Verdasco- obs, as he's Spanish, and it would be wrong not tooGrin - I'm sure Murray is not without support!Grin

Oh I like Boris and John too but I think Boris's broom cupboard days are over for me. John on the other hand (as long as he kept his mouth shut!).

FarleyD · 03/07/2013 20:12

On second thoughts, if he kept his mouth shut, there wouldn't be much going on in that broom cupboard would there?!

magimedi · 03/07/2013 20:13

When the men play the semis on Friday are they both played on Center Court?

ClayDavis · 03/07/2013 20:14

OK. But if I find you in a cupboard with Andrew Castle, I really will start to worry.

Raahh · 03/07/2013 20:14

Lol farley

Dd looked lovely. Had a moment of tearing up. The last one to go do something like this. Sigh...
She had a bottle green dress on very structured - she is built much like Serena Williams, we had to get the dress made for her so her bosom would remain intact Grin And not shoulder-less either, she needs the support. Her hair was all Serena like down with a plait over front, its so long, to her bottom nearly. Ridiculously lovely, thick and curly.
She's not home until tomorrow afternoon, a sleepover at this girl's house after the prom but all is well, her mum is a pharmacist so if she needs cutting out of the dress? Help is at hand to resuscitate! I am not picking her up either tomorrow, she's getting dropped back.
She has text me already to ask who won the match, bless her, she knows I was on pins.

Enjoy Luther Raahh Saw it last night, its very good...

siezethenight · 03/07/2013 20:22

Okay - I am off for the night, going out with dd1 to get ice cream Grin
Until tomorrow guys and thanks so much for this thread raahh

magimedi · 03/07/2013 20:30

{flowers] - just so I can arrange my day round the tennis!

FarleyD · 03/07/2013 20:31

It's got to be Joe's seize!

Your dd sounds beautiful, I bet she looked really stunning.

CatsAndTheirPizza · 03/07/2013 20:32

Not sure Boris would even fit in a cupboard these days sieze - he was looking a bit bloated.

Chubfuddler · 03/07/2013 20:35

I saw match point. I'm so glad I missed the fourth and fifth sets frankly I don't think I could have stood it.

He fought back brilliantly but god I don't know what was wrong with him in the first two, he just wasn't there.

Who's he playing next? Potato?

FarleyD · 03/07/2013 20:38

No, Jankovic. Poor Potato has to face down Djok.

Raahh · 03/07/2013 20:41

You're welcome, sieze- Your dd sounds stunning- I hope she has a fabulous night.

I still can't get into 'Luther' mmmm Idris

So glad Murray won, there were times I couldn't watch!!!

Chubfuddler · 03/07/2013 20:52

I would love potato to wipe the terminator all over the court. It won't happen though. That said, I don't think anyone would have thought potato or murray could have fought back from the starts they had. Djok is used to winning. I wonder if pushed psychologically, by an underdog, he would crumble.

Chubfuddler · 03/07/2013 20:56

And I would like potato to give murray some of his magic calpol.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 03/07/2013 21:06

I think Potato could give Djok a run for his money actually, he was really thumping the ball today. All depends on that knee.

Friday afternoon I have to pick DS1 up from school at 4.30, which takes me about 15 minutes and that is all so I should be able to watch most of the matches. TennisTennis

Salbertina · 03/07/2013 21:16

Fab! Felt like i was in an old movie as listening in on the old wireless radio as internet speed not sufficient to stream Hmm. I had to imagine Murray's grumpy half-smile of success, but could I hear the roar of that crowd! Gave me goosebumps , i tell you Grin

DuPainDuVinDuFromage · 03/07/2013 21:26

Hi everyone! Just dropping in again as I catch up on Today at Wimbledon after my first two days back at work after maternity leave!

I agree that Boris and John are rather lovely (even if Boris has gone to seed a bit...) but nobody has mentioned John Inverdale! Is it wrong that I have a bit of a thing for him? I kind of think of him as my friend, as I met him once and then he interviewed me on fivelive Grin

OhYouBadBadKitten · 03/07/2013 21:43

Forecast for the rest of Wimbledon, getting rapidly warmer and sunnier. Heat stroke by Sunday Grin

noddyholder · 03/07/2013 21:51

Cannot warm to Murray at all but if he reaches the final I hope he wins for all the fans. I think the polish guy will beat him Friday though so dont think it will matter. Djokovic pretty much has it

TapselteerieO · 03/07/2013 22:08

I would love to see a few of the oldies playing. This made me smile. I really like Martina, McEnroe and Becker as commentators.

I cannot stand Henman, really pisses me off when he commentates.
