As it says really - the old thread is nearly full, so here's a continuation for those of us watching on C4 on Sundays. Please, no spoilers - not even vague ones!

If you've watched the whole if season one already, there's a naughty corner another thread over there -->

OP posts:

I was thinking maybe the houses behind the very flimsy barricade were police houses, perk of the job so to speak.

NoHank · 15/07/2013 10:42

Well that was another doozy of an episode. DH looked up at one point and said "is there always so much nookie in it" Think he might start paying a bit more attention to it from now on!

I love the idea that Lucy is already a rev. When she arrived in Toni's bar and he said she'd come to the right place if you like tragedy it made me think that she had picked that town on purpose because of her psychic woo stuff she has going on.

And Victor and his fairy Sad Made me feel even more sorry for him.

Poor Estaban's parents too, don't think that's what Camille had in mind when she said he was waiting for them.

I still think Simon killed himself and that's why he went to his grave in the first ep, because he knew he was dead already. And yes, I thought it strange he was no longer hungry after his second awakening?

Lena has ishoos. Knife weilding, stomach munching already dead serial killer but go on then, it's not like he's been holding her hostage after she almost died or anything. although i'd take Serge over Simon any day Blush

So the workers at the dam are all buggin off and the town folk, who I agree don't seem that fussed about having no power, are all camping out at the Helping Hand. Seems like that could be the place for the final showdown in the last episode? The forest people meet the village people??? (Sorry, can't help myself)

Can't believe they've not even started filming the second series. It's bad enough I have to wait for the Walking Dead to return, never mind waiting till goodness knows when for this to come back.

I may even start watching other subtitled things now! Any recommendations? My dad has always said the original Killing and a few others are worth watching.

Msbluebozooka · 15/07/2013 11:08

Well I think it's getting better ,more like a proper zombie thriller now.
They have all finally arrived ( the forest lot ) ready to feast on the village.they've been hiding in the forest for years and victor and Serge have now given them the go a head. Lucky Estabans !

Simon and Camille don't have a clue yet but it will hit them soon .

Costa survived years ago that's why he committed suicide.

WTF !!!! their all going to start singing Thriller soon that will be the conclusion
With Jackson making guest appearance sorry bad taste , what ever .

PlatoonBuffoon · 15/07/2013 11:16

I'm so glad I found you all! I am obsessed with this program. I have found a place to discuss my crazy theories - hooray!

So I have a theory about Serge. I think he is a 'goodie' like a Buffy type zombie killer. Which would explain why he didn't kill Lena. And he might have got Julie thinking she was the police wowan person as she was dressed the same. Could she be a returned? Ooooo!

But how would this theory work with Serge as a returned?

Msbluebozooka · 15/07/2013 11:19

Julie as what !! A police woman , when was she dressed the same ?

Msbluebozooka · 15/07/2013 11:21

Toni said sorry mum Serge was getting out of control.

daimbardiva · 15/07/2013 11:25

Hello! I have been lurking here since the start of the series, and have thoroughly enjoyed all the theories, and you have all made me laugh with your chat too :) Loving the series - but totally nervous that we might not get a proper ending...DH will be raging if that happens; as an engineer he is also outraged at the lack of duty of care of the guys at the dam bailing out last night!!! Agree that you might expect some intervention from a regional/national level there...

Lena, I think, has just lost the plot due to everything that's happened - I guess your dead sister returning, and some sort of rank necrotic scar appearing on your back puts everything else in the shade, and then waking up in a cabin in the woods with a random creepy bloke seems normal...

The revenants hunger definitely seems for sex as well as food, and yes, they can change minds, even of other revenants...Simon resisted Lucy at first but then succumbed.

Thanks for clarifying that the couple was Esteban's parents...I didn't get that, we wondered who they were.

I have been raving about this series to my best friend, but actually as a woman living in a flat on her own, have advised her not to watch it!!!

Are we sure that Julie is not a revenant? And interesting that Adele might be...

PlatoonBuffoon · 15/07/2013 11:26

Sorry, posting and working - not a way to make myself coherent!

So when Julie was attacked she was wearing a cat woman suit like the police woman. Could it have been mistaken identity? There are definitely more returned in the village I think. People we think are normal but aren't...

Msbluebozooka · 15/07/2013 11:37

Maybe.
But get this one!! Read the first page of this thread !! It's the Homeopathic
Dam theory The dead come back when the water enters their grave! That's why Camille's grave was full of water and that's why those blokes are off cos they know what's happening the sly gets!

Apart from that i don't know.

I could do with a bit of homeopathy myself if that's the case. Since I've had the DS s my minds mush.

ButThereAgain · 15/07/2013 11:37

There was only one catsuit woman wasn't there? Julie? Who else has been a cat woman? [confused as hell now]

Also, I somehow missed the mass raid on the diner. When did that happen? And when did that policeman get gashed down the side of his face, in the exact same manner as the diner owner's gashed face??

JazzDalek · 15/07/2013 11:50

Julie's girlfriend (the police woman) was dressed as Batman.

Actually when Camille was talking to Esteban's family I thought right then that they would kill themselves - the way she phrased it all almost seemed as though she was encouraging them to do it. Intentionally? Don't know, but I wouldn't rule it out.

ButThereAgain · 15/07/2013 11:51

Perhaps Serge generally likes to eat animals and only made the transition to humans because Julie was dressed up as a cat after her fancy dress party with the policewoman friend.

But what I most think about Serge is that he has a fantastic body. Like a body of a larger man than has been pressed down into a smaller frame to make it super-dense. He practically bursts out of himself.

RappyNash · 15/07/2013 12:11

Butthere - I don't think we saw the raid, just the after effects.

Don't think we saw the policeman incident either (anyone care to correct?)

cocolepew · 15/07/2013 12:27

Jazzdalek I thought it looked as if Camille was encouraging the parents to kill themselves too.

More for the Zombie Army.

Cookethenook · 15/07/2013 12:56

Ohh, yes! I'm so glad i've found this- i don't know many people that are watching and am DESPERATE to discuss!

My brother has a theory that they're all dead and the ones that they think have 'returned' are ones who have realised and let go, and they've come back to make the others come to terms with it and let go too. Hence Mr Costa and Mme Payet's suicides.

I'm not sure about this one though, as it wouldn't really explain Lucy's arrival and the other people getting off the bus in the beginning. That only happened a year ago.

Oh, i just love Victor and Julie!

Any theories about Victor's arm, or Lena's odd back wound?

And why did Simon's daughter open the door after her mother had closed it?

And who are the people in the woods?!

Argh, so many questions!

daimbardiva · 15/07/2013 13:03

I'm beginning to think that more people are dead than we/they realise...

Maybe the revenants start to decompose if they use their powers too much e.g. Victor has done a lot of making people do things, making electircity fail etc. so maybe that's why he has a necrotic looking scar appearing on his arm? Also we know that he caused the bus crash too, and has been revenanted for a while..

This doesn't explain Lena's scar at all though...

Totally nervous that there isn't going to be a satisfactory "end" to this series ...

daimbardiva · 15/07/2013 13:04

PS the Guardian do a decent blog on this if anyone's interested.

AvonCallingBarksdale · 15/07/2013 13:16

Have the revenants returned to get revenge in some way or other? Eg
Serge - to get revenge after his brother killed him
Victor - to get revenge for his mother's brutal death
Camille - to get revenge after Lena did the dirty on her with Frederic
Simon - to get revenge on Thomas for killing him first time round (unconfirmed)
Mrs Costa - hmm to get revenge on M Costa for killing her (again unconfirmed)

Msbluebozooka · 15/07/2013 13:26

Has nobody read the Dam theory ?

RappyNash · 15/07/2013 13:37

Is Victor decaying because he's missing some vital Vitamin HB (human being?!)?

RappyNash · 15/07/2013 13:38

Yes MsBlu - but is the water replacing the bodies, or is it a byproduct of revivification?

Msbluebozooka · 15/07/2013 13:53

Both if that makes sense ?

coffeeinbed · 15/07/2013 15:18

I was a bit Hmm when Serge cured Lena's wound with some nettles concoction .

Onetwo34 · 15/07/2013 15:30

Maybe he cured Camille's magic zombie curse with his zombie magic healing.

Yonihadtoask · 15/07/2013 17:26

Tres exciting episode.

What is going to happen to Lena??

I also enjoyed seeing Simon naked - both on the slab and when he was on the loose! Grin
