I havent really watched it since it went over to channel 5 but now Emma Willis is presenting and I like her.

Anyone else giving it a go?

I can't believe that Rylan watched it 3 times, first two times he thought it was all banter or role playing and then thought yes, it might be threatening behaviour but still didn't know for sure.
He's an idiot!!

Thanks for link Shagging. I have just complained about Rylan, the inexperienced presenters and the BB producers not showing the footage to the housemates and thereby almost encouraging them to disbelieve his guilt.

I think BOTS have tip toed round it as it was a bloody stupid idea to pair them up in the first place . I wish Emma had been presenting tonight as she was anti that pairing when it was announced .

Now , I am all for him being removed but why did a) BB let Hazel go back in there with him b) why didn't she say , I don't feel comfortable going back in there with him ?
I am totally at a loss as to why Hazel wasn't removed from the 'safe'house last night (and told to sleep in main house)

I'm glad that they have decided to take things more seriously this year after 'rewarding ' that idiot (the Irish guy) last year .

Not really been watching it but caught it when channel hopping. She was coming across as a pain in the arse but his reaction was very chilling to watch. Also can't believe they didn't intervene earlier and remove Hazel straight away to protect her instead of leaving them there all night.

BB didn't make sure she went to stay away from him in main house because neither Hazel nor Daley thought it was as big a deal as we all think/saw. I'm betting there were no behaviour experts watching at the time of her attack and as they were both quite relaxed about what happened they let them be. Hazel stated in the diary room it was banter taken a bit too far rough sexual foreplay taken a bit too far. I noted the chills it put up me when he gave her the makeup speech. I knew he was quite angry at the time, she didn't see it as that.

There are women who women like a bit of rough sexually, whether it be a spanking/bit of hair pulling/choking/slapping and I think Hazel definitely saw it as that to start with. Even when they both had hands round each others necks I still think she felt like it was a prelude to sex. When he said he'd nut her though, that's when she realised he was actually mad but big brother intervened at that exact moment. So that terrified feeling didn't set in. This is why they went back together, carried on cuddling bla bla, big brother will have asked her what she wanted to do and how she felt at length.

I, like others, think big brother should have intervened the moment she pulled his pants right down to reveal his naked bottom half, which resulted in a clearly intoxicated man falling about and shouting bitch at her. If that had been the other way around and he had pulled her pants down to reveal her ladygarden to the world when she was very drunk they would have.

His reaction was unsurprising. Quite typical in fact and I am glad he's gone. He knew exactly what he'd done. Only Hazel knows for sure exactly how she felt at the time. I don't think it's what everyone is making it out to be on here, but I think looking back on it now she realises what actually happened and that she should have been terrified.

She thought it was all role play pretty much right up to the end, he was mad when she took the duvet off him and seething by the time she pulled his pants down... and she was laughing a lot, she didn't realise that the 'banter' rough sexual foreplay had already turned into him being an abusive bully, so she played along. She'll watch it back one day and thank her stars she was in the big brother house and not some hotel room after the show.

Another thing worth remembering is that in that house they don't truly know each other. Not excusing him for a minute but she kept pushing and pushing him not realising that he was seething with rage and thinking it was a bit of sexual banter.

Watching from the outside he clearly wanted to sleep and she wanted sex a cuddle and that was what she was pushing for. She can't have realised how he was going to react to her messing about because she didn't know him. She even said at one point "lets be sensible and have a friendly cuddle now" but by that point he'd lost it. And the amount of drink they were given didn't help matters either so BB has to take some responsibility for that.
But please please don't anyone think I'm defending him. I'm just looking at it from every angle. He is despicable and I still think he should be held accountable.

kaluki I agree, people who engage in that type of rough sex usually do know each other a lot better, they know that's the type of sex they're into.

I still feel sick about seeing this last night. It reminds me of my ex but we had been together a lot longer before he turned in a second just like that. Hazel seems to like to act tough like nothing phases her but surely after she jumped out of bed and curled up on the chair in the "safe" house her head must have been reeling. Of course she would be trying to smooth things over in her head and the classic "Oh I must have been leading him on to make him react like that" thoughts were likely to have been going through her head. Playing it down.

I will never forget how scared I was that night and it was the same idea - in bed but I was naked so totally vulnerable and he was right in my face threatening to hit me. I felt frozen to the spot. Why didn't I get up and walk out? I don't know. I was just so confused and shocked. I am guessing that when the cuddly Daley came back in from the diary room (where it was obvious he didn't appear to think he had done anything wrong) Hazel would be relieved and just want to pretend it hadn't happened or it had been blown out of proportion.

I am just so shocked and saddened that many people seem to think he should have just received a warning or that they can't see what the fuss is about. Many people live this out for real every day and don't have Big Brother to pull the abuser out of the situation before it escalates (although it already had got way out of hand).

Awful, just awful. I was worried for a second that it was all going to be played down so am relieved the seriousness of what happened was pointed out and dealt with. I wonder what Daley will think himself if he watches the footage back...

I've been there too Kelly, almost exactly the same situation. Messing about one minute, both a bit drunk, then before I knew it I was pinned to the wall by my throat being called a little slut
Another time at Christmas I was sober, he was drunk. I said maybe he'd had enough and boom - up against the wall again, this time in front of DS1.
I still accepted the apologies and stayed with him a few more years

BB and BBBOTS have a lot of young vulnerable viewers and it should have been made clear that this is UNACCEPTABLE, that awful phone in when callers were blaming Hazel and excusing him was very irresponsible and imo extremely bad taste.

I have also complained to channel 5. It was horrible to watch.

Have just watched. Can't believe they put them back in the safe house overnight they should have at least offered a different place to sleep to hazel.

How Daley can think he wasn't agressive is beyond me he was really scary when he was getting in her face.

I think it's really irresponsible of bbots to air views blaming hazel Daley will think he's in the right from some comments. I can't believe people still put the blame for DV on women

There have been shocking double standards on BB.
Hazel should have been reprimanded for her behaviour towards Daley in the past where she has been demanding hugs and cuddles and when he has refused she has pushed herself on him. If it were a man doing that to a woman he would have been told off.
Also, last night she pulled down his pants and slapped his bum and had him by the throat too.

Anyway, Daley had gone to bed and was annoyed that Hazel wad outside chatting with Charlie. He told her to come in and she said that she would in a minute. Daley was in bed ranting about "fucking women always yackking..." He then went out and said that BB said she had to come in (not sure if this was true), he went back to bed and was counting down from 60, when he got to zero he went mad. He is a horrible control freak. Very uncomfortable viewing.

I've just watched it on the watered down version which was on earlier today? Seemed like six of one and half a dozen of the other but I'm sure they edited loads out. When they told him to leave in the diary room he seemed to get very angry.

wow I was shocked by watching that, I honestly couldn't figure out what was happening, it seemed to sort of be play flighting/flirting in a way yet what he was saying was really nasty
I wondered if he was angry with her, for the fact he has cheated on his girlfriend with her?
so in his mind shes the bad one, the temptress and alothough he fancies her, he is also angry with her
I think hazel was actually just confussed about what was happening
