The old thread is nearly full. Nice new shiny thread here.

It's ok Sleepyfergus, I'll be happy to do the deed for you Wink

FeckOffCup · 20/07/2013 12:35

I love Sylvia as a character, you can see she really cares for Roy and Hayley underneath the harsh exterior.

Where is Tyrone and Ruby recently, who looks after Tyrone and Fizz's kids while he fixes cars and she stitches knickers, can't be the ubiquitous Emily since she has been out of action with her fall.

RubberBullets · 20/07/2013 12:43

I agree that they can't be sent to Emmerdale as I watch that too. Maybe Hollyoaks or Eastenders?

I know I am on my own with Steve but at least I won't have to fight anyone for him. I've liked him since he was first in it, I'm very loyal :)

alemci · 20/07/2013 14:05

re bookie story

couldn't peter and carla tell rob they wiil press charges about the fake accident with stolen material if he pursues the matter.

bit unlikely rob would win bet. was winner disqualified.

AmIthatHot · 20/07/2013 14:18

To all the Emmerdale fans, please accept my humble apologies. I only wanted the gruesome twosome banished to some soap I don't watch. Tracyluv's gurning and their kissing makes me want to hurl.

Okay, how about we banish them to River City instead. Hopefully some gangster will dump them in the Clyde.

DesperateHousewife21 · 20/07/2013 15:28

Ooh thanks! I'm on a clothes high today, got loads of clothes for me and the dcs in the Zara and Next sales!

Lighthousekeeping · 20/07/2013 17:15

Peter and Carla would have gorgeous hairy babies. I wonder if that will ever be on the cards.

PaintedBottom · 20/07/2013 17:38

I imagine Peter and Carla's baby to come out looking a little bit like Dotty Wednesday Addams from Eastenders.... remember her?

Peter is proper Man Sexy!

I've not caught up on last night episodes yet.

The next thread must be the Peter Barlow Sexy (Corrie update) thread. IMO.

whatkungfuthat · 20/07/2013 18:57

Proper Man Sexy Grin Indeed he is, although I think he's more Pacino than De Niro

whatkungfuthat · 20/07/2013 18:59

feast your eyes

whatkungfuthat · 20/07/2013 19:00

Actually I see the De Niro thing now I have studied seen that

AmIthatHot · 20/07/2013 19:07

hmm, the problem I have is that I fancy Chris Gascoyne so much, I am prepared to forgive Peter, the character, anything, just because he looks so attractive.

I soooooo would

Ellenora5 · 20/07/2013 19:20

Ooooohhhh I'm loving the one of him in the cap....very tasty indeed.

wirecat I agree with you, great title for the next thread Grin

whatkungfuthat · 20/07/2013 19:23

only 59 posts to go, hope someone remembers

NuggetofPurestGreen · 20/07/2013 23:25

Speaking of Carla and Peter living in the tiny flat - is that where Peter and Leanne used to live or did they have a house? If the latter what happened to it? Also did Carla sell her own flat or what? (Although maybe she didn't own it)

thenightsky · 20/07/2013 23:39

The flat C and P are in looks like the one he shared with Leanne.

Carla sold her posh flat as she couldn't live there after being raped by Frank in it.

whatkungfuthat · 21/07/2013 00:10

I think she used some of the money from her flat to buy Leanne out of the bookies. Does Peter own the building?

NuggetofPurestGreen · 21/07/2013 00:17

Yeah was thinking she probably didn't want to live in the flat over horrible Frank. For some reason thought L&P had a house but it does look like the same flat.

Blubbed over Hayley and Sylvia too Sad

JessicaBeatriceFletcher · 22/07/2013 09:14

When Corrie get it wrong, they get it disastrously wrong - Jenna and Mandy being examples.

When Corrie get it right, they get it incredibly, brilliantly right - casting Stephanie Cole being, as far as I am concerned, the best thing they have done in years.

The character is brilliantly conceived and written for and superbly played. At first people thought she was going to be a carbon-copy of Blanche with her putdowns but she is nothing like. Her obvious genuine affection for Hayley at the moment shows that she loves her both as a person and for being there for Roy all these years when she wasn't.

Roy and Hayley have a very special place in the hearts of Corrie fans and there is no question that the next few months are going to be incredibly moving. David, Julie and Stephanie are such very good actors.

Wishfulmakeupping · 22/07/2013 09:18

Agree with you jessica Stephanie is fab in that role

JessicaBeatriceFletcher · 22/07/2013 09:32

On an unrelated matter, how long does Bill Roache need to be absent before Eileen Derbyshire becomes the longest serving soap actor in the world and replace him in the Guinness World Records?

WireCat · 22/07/2013 09:45

Oh! Blush

I shall start the next thread then!

Must catch up with Fridays episodes today. (1st day of summer hols!)

I'm going to be so sad about Hayley.

Jenna and her (grand)mother need to go.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 22/07/2013 09:46

Oh, interesting thought, Jessica!

Just looked on Wikipedia and it says he started on 9th December 1960 and she started on 21st December 1960, so not much in it at all!

I suppose he is still considered part of the cast, so we would have to wait for him to leave / be sacked before waiting the couple of weeks for Eileen Derbyshire to be crowned longest serving soap actor.

FannyMcNally · 22/07/2013 09:58

I'm in the Steve=hot, Peter=not camp. Peter's eyes look quite weak to me, like he normally wears strong specs.

When did Deirdre have a change of heart over Rob? A few weeks ago she was flirting with him and now he's bad news and Carla's flavour of the month.

I don't think I'll be watching Hayley deteriorate, it will be too sad. Did the actress want to leave? And not ever be able to come back?

Hurray for no Windasses et al, quite pleasant watching the last two episodes.

The racist storyline is quite uncomfortable in it's unravelling. Not sure how I feel about Sawfee's outburst in the shop and where the whole thing is leading. Is this how Paul leaves the street?

Good idea about Carla blackmailing Rob. But Corrie conveniently forget old storylines. (Not like us!)
