I agree it's a shame to see Roy going this way, is Hayley leaving for good?
Even if she does leave in whatever circumstance Roy and Sylvia will still be there so they can't do anything too crazy.

I don't like Chesney at all now he's being really horrible to Sinead I don't know why she's sticking around, I'd have buggered off ages ago!

David's character is hurting the 2 female members of the family who are basically innocent, Leanne and Gail, and I can't see why. It would be better for him to confront Nick and Kylie now. And how can Gail STILL be living in that house with them knowing how they treated her re Lewis and losing all her money? They (the scriptwriters) should have moved her out by now. She's not a weak character and just meekly putting up with the peanut throwing was not like her. Bored with the Platts and want the Karl showdown to start unravelling. Especially as the seed has been planted in our minds that Craig could be the catalyst.

Agree about Roy, very uncomfortable. It makes me laugh how shortarse old bloke Owen manages to intimidate everyone, Tim could knock him into next week.

Keep forgetting to say that they squandered that storyline about Sylvia stealing Mary's poem and winning the cruise, it was a plot device to bring in Milton but the vitriol should have been much worse

Leanne organising a student night for all the students that we see so often around Weatherfield; in the pub, the cafe, the shop! she doesn't seem to have realised the universities have finished for the summer.

I think in their haste to set up a new ratboy abomination they have forgotten to check when its screened

I don't think Gail was being meek about the peanuts, I thought it was very disturbing how humiliated she was. He was really abusing her and it was quite uncomfortable to watch.

I thought the Gail thing was a bit weird too, strange camera angles and shots of her being backed into the wall, my guess is that David is taking it out on her because he knows that she knows about the Nick fling but isn't telling him. Where could Gail go though? She's skint and works as a cleaner, not going to be able to afford anything. Hopefully Tim's flat will become vacant soon, that seems to be the last hope home for anyone fallen on hard times in the street.

They started a few of these "student" storylines when Jerry Morton's family were on the street too, the idea wasn't convincing then either.

Oh god I could just take a hammer to the entire Owen/Anna/tim/Faye/izzy/Katy/Gary clan. What is the point of them other than being totally unpleasant. Urghh.

I don't like the Roy story. I feel very protective of him and I hate the current story.

And yes yes! I agree the David story is not believable at all! His attacks on Gail are uncomfortable and uncalled for. And bloody hurry up with the Karl reveal. Was bored of it months ago, and hate the way writers assume we love long drawn out reveals. We don't! We bloody detest them. I thought the protracted John stape reveal was bad enough but the Karl thing is ridic. They keep dipping in and out of it. And please let the next fire involve Faye!

I was talking to my mum about Corrie and she said about Emily taking money from an equity release scheme sorted by Richard Hillman so that Spider could start up in business. So presumably the house isn't hers to give to Norris. Had a quick google and it looks like she isn't the only one who remembers here

I do like Abbyk's suggestion on that link, kungfu: "if in a title search, Gail is found to be the legal owner or owed money, maybe it will be a move to right the very very wrong of the whole Lewis saga and Audrey funding David out of spite."

For me, Audrey wasn't that unreasonable - but, much as I despise Gail, she shouldn't be having to go through David's lunatic abuse all over again. This would be a nice twist to the plot.

Yes, it was the Mum who a druggie and tim left her because of it.

I reckon (hope) script writers are reading this thread... I thought the scene where Tim accused Anna of 'babying' Fay and Anna justified why she did it was totally for our benefit after everyone on here had mocked the way Anna holds her hand and walks her to school etc!
