I saw a interview with Michelle Keegan where she said that her character had been away on holiday but I wondered if it was in the run up to the court case. Perhaps Jake/Joe isn't Tina and Tommy's after all then?

I really felt for David as he went off in the cab and watching his bro and his Mum waving him off, knowing that they had all betrayed him.

Looking forward to some great acting from Leanne when the truth comes out.

And yes I agree about Tina. She cannot see what's wrong with keeping the money AND the Baby AND she expected to stay in the flat free of charge as well!

I sometimes lurk on this thread, but had to post that I wanted to slap Tina last night. How can she not understand that keeping somebody else's baby and their money is wrong?!

I felt sorry for David, although that face he pulled right at the end was scary. If old David is back then I fear for Kylie and the baby. He may do something awful and then it will turn out it was his baby.

hard not to agree, but that is David's face when he is plotting/thinking nasty thoughts. He could have been multi-tasking.

Totally agree Little A. It's bad enough keeping the baby but then not to hand the money back is very wrong. She went back on the deal.

I really really don't understand the Tina/baby storyline. Is this (yet again) a case of actors not being able to stand up to the writing? What Tina is doing is so SO wrong I find it hard to believe that anyone involved in this decision didn't, at least, hope that Tina (actress) could somehow convince/sway some of the audience that she may have a point... ?

I think they jumped the shark with her keeping the money to be honest. A surrogate keeping the baby she has bonded with on special care is perhaps understandable given how vile the Windyasses (love that) are, but the rest just beggars belief.

Been meaning to say that I always thought Sue Johnston (sp?) was a great actress but she looks very ordinary next to Stephanie Cole

I agree whatkungfu. Tina has always been a reasonable and decent character but now she has gone a bit mad and cannot see right from wrong.

Unless that's deliberate and they are showing that the baby means so much that she literally cannot see reason any more.

Yes, agree that Stephanie Cole is great. In fact, I think Roy is one of the most under rated actors in any soap. He is brilliant.

This flippin Katie and Jozeff living in Michelle's storyline is rubbish as well. why did Michelle then say it was fine for them to stay??!! When it clearly isn't. Get out Katie.

Stephanie Cole can really deliver a line. That bit about Emily once waking up thinking there was an old man sitting at the end of her bed..."Of course we know it was Norris..." Hilarious!

Also does anyone understand what happened with Tommy's debt and the surrogacy money?

Did Tommy owe money to gangsters (on Terry's behalf) or did Ty pay off the gangsters and then Tommy and Tina owed the money to Ty? (Too many Ts.)

Tina then did the surrogacy to get the money to pay off Tommy's debt but then when they broke up presumably she didn't pay them off and that's why she still has the money which she now won't give back. But then how did Tommy's debt get paid off??

I think he borrowed the money from Ty. They were paying it back in instalments and Tina got into the surrogacy as Kirsty made it really difficult iirc. I assume Tommy has been keeping up with the instalments on his own as he works in the garage now.

It is very bizarre atm. Like that little exchange between Nick and Sawphie outside Devs re flowers and Eliza Doolittle. WTF? All fine and well if they showed this kind of stuff all the time, but to suddenly shove it in makes it seem v weird. Same with the little interaction between Glo and Deirdre re Drearys hair. Can't be filling in for Ken/Kevin still can they???

Yes! That's what I meant about all the random chit chat and fill ins. Like Steve's comedy sandwich and then talking about it in the pub.
They never usually discuss lunch/ dinner to that extent!
