I would love to know how the childminder is regulated, she can take the kids at the drop of hat and all hours of the day and night, she must be on some money to be available whenever they want her.

Whenever the storyline is over with Gary/Izzy/Tina/Tommy we will have to suffer through the same thing again with David/Kylie/Nick/Leanne.

I thought it was a bit rich of Rob saying he's worked so hard for Carla. Robbing her blind aside, he also used to steal contracts off her and give them to his invisible seamstresses, from right under Carla's nose.

Izzy will be caring for the baby at some stage, as I have it on good authority that corrie did a lot of research into adaptations.

I thought that the bungalow already had been adapted by Owen? It was a story from a while ago

Haven't read the whole thread, so apologies if it's been discussed already, but didn't Tina mention still having the surrogacy money in the bank still? She agreed to the surrogacy to clear Tommy's debts, and fair enough not to hand it over when they split up, but how come Tommy was talking about going on holiday - how has he managed to clear all the debt?

And had exactly the same thought about Amy disappearing a la Tracy style this week!

Corrie script writing is just baloney at the moment. How come the rovers looks just the same including the glass in the booths? How come Katie/Tracey/fizz/ty never have the kids with them? Where is Emily? Where's Mary's camper van gone? Why is qaualified physio working in the shop and giving up on her career? Where is queen Mandy of Headband?? Why is Steve bold? Why is Michelle dressing like she's 16?

I laughed to myself when they criticised Sally's clothes who do they both think they are?? Sophie is a right fuddy dudd for an 18 year old and Jenna dresses older than my mother. Shiela Grant dresses younger.

Re the Gary/Izzy/Tina parental rights thing, I remember when Tina went for counselling with Gary and Izzy it was explained to them that Tina would be recognised legally as the mother of the baby until Izzy formally adopted it.

No idea if that's what actually happens but, as someone else mentioned, this is soap reality!

Steve's hair is bugging me. I thought the actor had a hair transplant which is why he wore a hat for a while, but I may have got that wrong. If he did, he should get his money back. That widow's peak is starting to look very odd stood there on its own, separate from the rest of his hair.

I think I read somewhere that the actor playing Steve MacDonald shaved his hair after some bet or prank with mates? There's every possibility that I dreamt this, however.....

The whole surrogacy storyline has been handled really really badly. From the writing to the acting. The start was rubbish when izzy miscarried one week and a fortnight later Tina is pg with the baby. Then once baby comes not only is it prem but izzy and Gary are fighting, and there are some really despicable comments about it being unnatural in the pub.

Izzys acting was terrible. Tina delivered then had a face full of makeup, looked fresh and was stomping up and down the ward. I expected it to be more emotional but it was pants. Izzy more concerned about keeping Gary away, Tina showing little emotion after birth, Owen being his usual thuggish self. Wtf has happened to corrie. Crock of crap.

When Izzy first came into the street (someone's blind date?) She seemed feisty and witty, then somehow morphed into a wooden doll.

Is the actress related to Allun Armstrong. It struck me the other day how like him she was in profile

I love Corrie and have watched for over 30 years but I agree with you all about Corrie at the moment. So many ridiculously unbelievable things......why would Dev invite Carl round and call him a friend - that just would not happen.

Izzie is a rubbish actress and the whole storyline is pants. As someone else said if Tina has all the money when it was meant to be for Tommy's debts he presumably still has these debts yet appears to be all happy and fine (is he living with Rita still? She must love that!). I just want it all to be over but also as someone else mentioned it being soapland the secret of Kylie's baby will be out before long and we'll have yet more angst and heartbreak over that....

And yes Jenna working in corner shop and another one content with a life in the confines of the street - ridiculous. And where the hell is her mother? And Maria?

We want more Mary and Norris and drunk Sally and Steve banter!

re. Jenna- I think you have to be registered to practise privately too.
(although there is good money in being a horse physio). and tbh I think they took it a bit far striking her off anyway- surely she would just get suspended for that.

I don't like Sophie/ Jenna together they don't suit at all.
