Just over 57 hours to go...

I really can't wait. In fact, I'm going to nc in a bit to honour the return of Tyrion, Robb, Jon Snow, Brienne and Arya.

Anyone else practically wetting themselves in excitment?

trampypants she was very loud (primary school) and cute. Went to different secondary schools.

I adore the hound, he is so tortured (sob)

UnsulliedTrampyPants · 01/04/2013 13:27

cookie, dh has a soft spot for her

cookielove · 01/04/2013 13:33

Ha ha, she is rather pretty however her facebook page (yes I am friends with her, although I was before she got the part) is very showy!! Hmm

LittleBairn · 01/04/2013 13:41

If I was that good looking I would be showing it all off all the time too....thankfully I'm plain my parents can rest easy. [bugrin]

Pantah630 · 01/04/2013 14:13

I don't have sky but the link Trampy posted near the top of the thread worked on the iPad. I am a very happy girl, thank you Trampypants :)

Pantah630 · 01/04/2013 14:14

Oh and another with a soft spot for The Hound, wish Sansa had run off with him.

Have started reading the books, not normally my cup of tea, but am hooked. Back to extended bathing to get the peace and quiet to concentrate.

MrsJaqenHgar · 01/04/2013 14:18

I love the Hound. He's one of my favourite characters. I loved his performance in the Battle of Blackwater Episode on S2 when we got to see his more human side.

LittleBairn · 01/04/2013 14:23

Looking at Trampys link, does it just switch on when the show starts?

UnsulliedTrampyPants · 01/04/2013 14:30

I'd be semi-naked all the time if I looked like that Wink

Pantah, you're welcome, LittleBairn, it's videos that fans put up. so you just press play. its a us site, so ep1 s3 should be on there already

MrsJ, me too. I feel quite sorry for him.

LittleBairn · 01/04/2013 14:47

Thanks Trampys I'm so dumb when it comes to anything techy.

cookielove · 01/04/2013 14:56
Smile

She does seem very nice

ShortTermName · 01/04/2013 16:46

Only just heard about this series.

Real newcomer question: is it a definite adult programme? When I first heard of it I thought it might be the dcs' cup of tea but this thread suggests not.

What age upwards would you say it was suitable for and is it on DVD? thanks

nooka · 01/04/2013 16:57

Definitely for adults. Both in content (bad things happening to good people pretty much all the time), in gore (lots of quite graphic deaths) and also there are some pretty gratuitous sex scenes (the only downside in an otherwise excellent adaptation IMO). Not sure what age would be OK - my two are 13 and 12 and it's definitely not for them. I would imagine the DVDs are 18s.

cookielove · 01/04/2013 16:59

MrsJaqenHgar - sorry i missed that you said about your dd ^^ up there somewhere oooh who does she play?

Where is it filmed?

So exciting Smile

Short i think it depends on the age of your children and what shows they are use to watching there is blood and gore, and sex and unpleasent scenes. I don't want to give anything away but there is scene in the 1st season that a child may find quite upsetting.

Maybe you could preview it before allowing your children to watch? Not sure if it is on dvd yet, but someone mentioned on another thread that is on SKY demand season 1 and 2 Smile

Pantah630 · 01/04/2013 17:02

It's an 18 on the DVDs, sex and violence, I shut my eyes for the gory bits and cover DS's. He is a mature 13 and reads far worse in books so I'm happy for him to watch with me. I certainly wouldn't allow his friends round to watch though, unless their parents had approved. I'd watch an episode yourself first, then you can judge only you can know if your children are mature enough to view.

UnsulliedTrampyPants · 01/04/2013 17:15

Ds is nearly 8 and absolutely not. I would say, in all honesty, that its not at all suitable for kids. The sex scenes are VERY graphic, so are the gory bits. And the c word is used an awful lot too.

Obv, it depends on the kids, but I wouldn't let ds watch until he is a lot older.

MrsJaqenHgar · 01/04/2013 17:47

Cookie, DD is one of several babies who play Gilly's baby.

Most of GoT is filmed in NI. The studio is in Belfast but it films on location all over NI. It also films in Croatia (outdoor Kings Landing scenes) and all the icey 'beyond the wall' scenes are filmed in Iceland. But pretty much everything else is shot in NI. We do the dull, grey grimness required for the scenes n the North particularly well. The rest is down to clever lighting Grin

ShortTermName · 01/04/2013 18:21

Oh my. Shock Thanks for that! My dcs are much too young. Lucky I asked!
