It's nearly Game Of Thrones Day - the countdown starts here (with spoilers)

Just over 57 hours to go...

I really can't wait. In fact, I'm going to nc in a bit to honour the return of Tyrion, Robb, Jon Snow, Brienne and Arya.

Anyone else practically wetting themselves in excitment?

Arghh I have read the books but can't remember what the hell happens! Throughout the tv series so far I've generally remembered some key fact just before it's happened in the tv version.

I also love GoT.

My friends cousin is in it....he was also in Ideal. Not sure of his characters name but he is one of the nightwatch.

I always had the feeling Ned would die too the book was building up to war with him there a lot of what went on wouldn't have happened. Such a Rob being a crap king of the North. His daughters wouldn't have stranded far from home having to fend for themselves and Winterfell and his young boys wouldn't have been left undefended. He needed to Die for the story to be what it is now.

I'm on Book 4 I put them down for awhile because I felt they were all merging and muddling in my mind ( plus GRR being slow at getting them out I had no rush!) but I'm finding it hard to get into with the new and unknown Characters taking up many chapters just get back to the characters we know and love (or despise) does it get better?

tbh, book 4 is my least favourite. its bloody depressing. But, I enjoyed ADWD immensely. I agree about Ned, He was too good. too honourable. And, without Robert to protect him, too vulnerable. Plus, he promised to talk to Jon about his mum. following the rule of Soaps, he was bound to die.

feeltheforce, I would start from the beginning, tbh. It gets quite complicated and it helps to know who's who.

Big fantasy fan here and the books have had me gripped for years. I really think they have really done a fine job with this series and has not disappointed so far.

Did you know that Bronn is played by Jerome Flynn of Robson & Jerome??? Have a gawk at this:

I just don't do fantasy usually but I love this, mainly due to the fantastic characters. Book 3 my favourite too.

Thank you Giblet, yes, theyve done a great job. the things that they have changed have been good. Like Arya being Tywin's cupbearer.

Little I found book 4 heavy going, book 3 ended on such a high that it didnt really compare. I think because it is new POV, it takes a while to get in to. I would keep on at it though. I really enjoyed ADWD, cant wait for TWOW to come out. Bet it will be a long wait yet though.

Love the above links although Khal Drogo has a touch of the Peter Andre about his no beardy pic.

I would never have thought Sansa was not a natural redhead, she looks so right with red hair and I wouldn't have recognised her as a blonde.

loved all the books and wish GRRMartin would get a move on and finish the frigging series! And loved the TV adaptation although we do keep a boobage count Grin
Have it on record for tomorrow as one of the spawn is in hospital so I will still be there. You'd think the stupid ward would have a huge flatscreen and satellite TV wouldnt you, but noooooooooooooo.....
So much eye candy, so little time Wink
