Anyone watching?

I'm also wondering what the point of the dude with glasses is for now that they stole his pendant off him.

And there is zero chemistry between Nora and Miles. These additional characters don't really have much point to them. (Except, I suppose, Nora's amazing ability to rustle up explosives out of twigs and moss)

onedev · 19/05/2013 08:26

Totally agree Shipwrecked - although I can't seem to stop watching it. Grin

I'm another who would definitely do Monroe!!

ShipwreckedAndComatose · 19/05/2013 08:33

I can't stop either Grin

ShipwreckedAndComatose · 19/05/2013 08:34

Thinking of another thread...it's like the Waterloo road of post apocalyptic sci fi. Grin

TwllBach · 19/05/2013 08:48

I'm watching Waterloo road from the beginning if the series on CBS and the first two series were definitely the best!

ThreeBeeOneGee · 19/05/2013 09:41

I can't stop watching Waterloo Road either; even though it gets more ludicrous with each episode.

A teenager with gender identity issues getting 'cured' as a result of a sexual assault...really?

NewGirlInTown · 19/05/2013 17:25

There is a really good tv programme inside Revolution, but they haven't quite cracked it. I also dislike the almost constant violence and will stop watching.
You can see the guy from Lost is behind it. All those fucking flashbacks!
Would have been much more interesting to set it all immediately after the power went out..

StealthOfficialCrispTester · 19/05/2013 18:32

NewGirl, that would have been too obviously though. Everything is set like that. I did actually like the fact this one was set 15 years later when the new ways are established, new rulers and rebels are roaming the land and while there are plenty of people who remember "before" there are also plenty of teens who barely do. I thought that made it nicely different from the average. But they've not played enough on that :(

ShipwreckedAndComatose · 19/05/2013 19:23

It must have something about though, to be picked up for a longer run. They don't invest lightly, so it's ratings in the States must be pretty solid

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/05/2013 21:54

Haven't read any replies as still on holiday and need to catch up via sky+

But did see Waterloo road reply and I love that. Watching from
Beginning as missed it the first time

Think on s3 at the moment and also cuttin it

Enjoying both - but will catch up with revolution when back

People inflict carnage with a bomb in a rucksack made out of 2lbs of flour, some nail varnish remover and a handful of nails.

Yet that cow-eyed woman from 24 spends ages building something the size of a WWII torpedo out of Meccano on the off-chance that the General will be peering at it when she sets it off and doesn't expect anyone to be a bit suspicious.

TwllBach · 25/05/2013 17:09

Do you know...

I quite enjoyed that episode Grin

SummerRainIsADistantMemory · 25/05/2013 22:28

Me too Shock

Definitely a step up on previous weeks

TwllBach · 26/05/2013 07:59

I think it was because of Sebastian Munro(sp?) myself. He's a luffly actor the only decent one there.

Although the boys face (Danny?) when Charlie whacked the baddie was quite funny.

The complete lack of expression on everyones face right at the very end was a bit unconvincing though... Even if I did love Charlie's little laugh of joy just before when she was waiting for Uncle Miles.

SummerRainIsADistantMemory · 26/05/2013 09:51

I think I'm slightly in love with Bass, despite his evil dictator tendencies Blush

That laugh from Charlie was the best acting I've seen from her yet.

It was a bit flat at the end though. Although dp and I weren't really paying attention as we were discussing the fact that surely she designed it to break after a few hours?

I'm looking forward to Rachel and miles having it out next week, Charlie doesn't know yet that he abandoned Rachel when he left the militia... Should be an interesting conversation

TwllBach · 26/05/2013 10:16

Oh I didn't know that either.. I assumed it was something like that, though, but I think I thought he'd been the one to capture her or something. She irritates me too...

SummerRainIsADistantMemory · 26/05/2013 10:56

They showed a flashback where she handed herself over to him on the condition he left her family alone. But then he turned on Bass and tried to kill him, couldn't do it and ran. He assumed Bass would kill her but didn't go back for her.

I'm surprised all she did was punch him tbh, I expected her to go for him with that sword!

ThreeBeeOneGee · 26/05/2013 18:16

"We've been brothers our whole lives; since we were kids."

Yes, that's usually how it works, Miles.

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/05/2013 11:28

pmsl three

stealth - i thought the same - must be a blonde thing Grin

slowly catching up, but thinking is it worth it? or shall i delete the last 2 and just read the plot on here

amd yes i noticed the dooey eyed charlie oggling her uncle.......

OP posts:
TwllBach · 27/05/2013 12:01

Nooooo don't delete! The last episode was the best of the bunch, honest!

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/05/2013 12:04

really?is that the lack of oxygen or another

OP posts:
TwllBach · 27/05/2013 12:17

The lack of oxygen one is shite, I'm not going to lie Grin I think it's the one after that which is better.

I mean, obviously, 'best of the bunch' is a relative term. It's still a bit crap, but in relation to the rest of the season so far, it is better.

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/05/2013 12:30

ha ha twllbach - watching must ne 3rd one behind - ties that bind

found noras sister and more bombs made out of moss Grin and monroes people having guns but cant shoot for shit

OP posts:
SummerRainIsADistantMemory · 27/05/2013 12:34

Yeah, their aim doesn't say much for the militia training regime does it? Grin

limitedperiodonly · 27/05/2013 12:43

I've done what I never do - read the thread before watching.

So the last one was good was it? Or just the best one so far, which like having the hottest day of the year in Britain, isn't the same as being able to take your vest off.

Anyway, I'll watch and judge.
