Anyone watching?

true twil, but the clothes are so well made, impossible without a sewing machine/electricty

to make with just a needle and thread seems a tad impossible

i wondered if wifey was kidnapped as her hubby (now dead) knew why the power went

Even the voice over at the beginning is disappointing.

I've just realised what it reminds me of... It's all a bit early-channel-five-xena-warrior-princess GrinSad

TwllBach · 05/04/2013 22:01

Oh that was some superb over the shoulder acting.

MoominmammasHandbag · 05/04/2013 22:12

Not all sewing machines run on electricity. There were mills and factories before there was electricity. Basically they'd are just moved back into Victorian/ Edwardian level technology - it's hardly the bloody Dark Ages.

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/04/2013 22:25

True. Guess we forget there was life before electricity

So miles taught the soldiers.......

OP posts:
TwllBach · 06/04/2013 23:10

But miles thought he was doing the right thing

He's so very noble and honourable.

susiedaisy · 07/04/2013 22:58

I'm intrigued as to what made the electricity start up in graces house, also thought the speech by the bearded IT geek about the world reverting back to bullies was quite poignant! But it's still pretty shit!Wink

WireCatWhore · 08/04/2013 11:34

It's crap.

I will still watch it though.

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/04/2013 18:48

they had the little necklace things which seems to have captured electricity

and yes a little crap but i seem to still watch it lol

wibblyjelly · 08/04/2013 19:55

susiedaisy pointed this thread in my direction, as I started one last night, and sent realise this one was goingBlush
Watched 1 and 2 last night. Had 3 recorded, but couldn't really face watching them all in one go. I'm on the side of its so crap, I'm going to keep watching it Smile

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/04/2013 20:19

I'm on American time with this one.... Just watched ep 13 and it's ok...starting to explain a bit more about what happened. It's a bit predictable though.

LittleAbruzzenBear · 13/04/2013 11:36

I tried this, but can't take to the characters. I loved the characters on Lost and I am still a huge Supernatural fan so I had high hopes from JJ Abrams and Eric Kripke, bit disappointed.

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/04/2013 23:15

Did have a tear in my eye when maggie died and miles said he wasn't going anywhere

OP posts:
ratbagcatbag · 14/04/2013 00:43

Ok I'm the only sad mnetter that absolutely loves this then and has completely fallen for Miles :)

TwllBach · 14/04/2013 07:17

No no, I watched it last night and unfortunately I am a complete sucker for a man that looks after vulnerable women. The last ten seconds where he kissed Charlie's head and told her he wasn't going anywhere made me love him and guarantees that I watch next week

LtEveDallas · 14/04/2013 07:24

I had high hopes for this, but 3 episodes in I've cancelled the SkyPlus because it just hasn't caught my imagination. I've read the synopsis of the next few episodes (as I always do with a new series I'm not sure about) and they just seem like more of the same (although I was mildly excited about 3 major plot lines that I didn't see coming).

Nah, it just doesn't do it for me (and I can't get over the similarity between Miles and the goofy older brother in iCarly). I'll stick with Arrow I think.

HolidayArmadillo · 14/04/2013 07:39

I'm really enjoying this. I seem to be the only one! One thing I want to know is where are all the bikes? Why are they walking everywhere? Sury a bit of off tossing mountain biking would be the way forward? Other than that I'm quite engaged with it all. But then I watched Lost obsessively and even enjoyed the ending!

HolidayArmadillo · 14/04/2013 07:39

Off tossing? Off roading!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/04/2013 09:58

That's true. Bikes and horses would be the way to go

And the kidnapped brother is quite cute tho I'm
Old enough to be his mum Blush

DevlinMaccabee · 14/04/2013 11:01

Is anyone else traumatised that Maggie has died not knowing what happened to her children?

susiedaisy · 14/04/2013 14:13

Yes that's sad that she spent years trying to get back to England Hmm

Not over impressed with this series tbh it's just too squeaky clean and superficial for me, not gritty enough, why go to all the trouble of making an apocalyptic drama if you're are going to make everyone look so well groomed, and the acting is pretty pants!

Otherworld · 16/04/2013 12:45

We are wondering the same here too (and think I commented on another thread). Where are the bicycles? Surely they would have been used rather than horses?
