Anyone watching?

OP posts:
anonacfr · 07/07/2013 19:31

I've warmed to Charlie, it's Rachel I can't stand. I've never liked her sad pout though- I hated her as Juliet in Lost too and can't believe she ended up as Sawyer's soulmate and Kate got dumped with emotionally abusive Charlie for all eternity. It ruined the show for me.

HighBrows · 08/07/2013 11:08

Yeah Rachel/Juliet is a bit drippy.

I'm smiling cos Charlie was his name in Party of Five, I used to always call him Charlie instead of Jack when watching Lost!!

Aaron has not lost weight and his glasses are now indestructible! The old newspaper article seems to implicate him in assisting them in turning off the power! Hilarious. Grin

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/07/2013 23:34

Charlie is still drippy and wish she died instead of her brother

I said ages ago their clothes are too nice - should be in sack cloths lol

Still fancy Monroe

Still think programme is crap but still have to watch it as need to know why the power went off and will it ever come back on forever

anonacfr · 09/07/2013 23:43

Heh! Another one who fancies Monroe! Btw Blondes do you miss Fringe as much as I do?
I couldn't stand the brother. He was so annoying. I gather he died quite nobly- ironically I missed the only episode where he actually did anything.
Agree that the programme is shite but weirdly compulsive.

anonacfr · 09/07/2013 23:43

Btw not just nice but clean. Just like their highlighted hair.
And surely the men should all be bearded?

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/07/2013 23:47

We do seem to like and watch the same stuff anon :)

Fringe puzzled me - esp the last episode - I did a thread on here about it asking for explanations I never understood episodes lol but the last one really got to me

Was it all a dream as it all changed and daughter didn't die

Not sure I miss it as such apart from gene the first few series fab - last one I kinda think they ran out of ideas :(

Now the returned (as you know) I love :)

Or grow a beard like the boring Aaron

Very lucky his glasses haven't broken

If the boats can move via steam??? Why can't the cars work?

Need ether transport rather then shanks pony (as my mummy would say)

DevlinMaccabee · 10/07/2013 22:26

Anonacfr I noticed that practically all the cast of 24 are in this!

How is Aaron not dead yet?

As if Tom is now part of the Georgia Federation.

It gets sillier every week, yet I still need to keep watching Blush

TwllBach · 11/07/2013 06:39

I've just clocked that Miles was also Agent Dean in Rizzoli and Isles which is also shite but compelling

He was just as expressionless in that. I think he thinks it comes across as manly stoicness, but it doesn't work if you're mostly dead behind the eyes.

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/07/2013 12:23

how many crap hours have we got left?

OP posts:
SummerRainIsADistantMemory · 12/07/2013 12:34

I just watched last weeks episode last night, it's all getting stranger and stranger.

How is Bas still commanding an army, surely they can't all be willing to let him let loose anthrax and nukes willy nilly? Confused Why isn't there any infighting in the Militia?

I warmed to Charly a bit last night Shock Miles is still irritating the hell out of me though, as is Rachel, and Aaron, and Neville and his bratty kid who only seems to be with the Rebels to piss his dad off and gets in a sulk constantly.

SummerRainIsADistantMemory · 12/07/2013 12:35

Oh and we watch Falling Skies too

tbh I wouldn't watch falling skies voluntarily but dp likes it. Like Revolution it makes my teeth itch with all the crap acting, bizarre storylines and unrealistic characters.

anonacfr · 12/07/2013 19:53

Btw isn't ironic that the Monroe republic is ruled by a psychopathic hot depot?
How come no one ever mentions that?

anonacfr · 12/07/2013 19:53

Despot, not depot Grin

limitedperiodonly · 12/07/2013 20:48

It is shit. My planner is filling up. I am jettisoning it now and forever more.

Hold my hand. The one that's not pressing the delete button.

onedev · 12/07/2013 21:19

When is Falling Skies on as I watch it too Blush

SummerRainIsADistantMemory · 12/07/2013 22:52

Limited... No! You can't abandon us!

Onedev... Season 3 starts on Tuesday.

limitedperiodonly · 12/07/2013 23:15

Too late, summer I've deleted it. I feel so free.

I'm sure I'll see you again on some other crap thing. Ray Donovan starts this Tuesday on Sky Atlantic. That could be a bit shit Grin

SummerRainIsADistantMemory · 13/07/2013 00:07

My sky box is so full of crappy shows I haven't got around to watching I'd better not start any more.

Defiance anyone?

Grin
onedev · 13/07/2013 17:58

Thanks Summer Grin I just saw earlier that Smash starts next week too - woohoo!

limitedperiodonly · 13/07/2013 18:42

You don't mean Defiance, the Daniel Craig film about Jewish partisans in WWII do you? It's not very good but I quite like it because I quite like Daniel Craig.

It's also got Liev Schreiber who's Ray Donovan. He's a bit pudgy but I quite like him too. If we were together I'd put him on a diet and exercise programme and see how things developed.

Smash is terrible. I can say that because I watched it from beginning to end, fast-forwarding through the musical numbers. I guess they're the point, which is why I guess it's not for me.

onedev · 13/07/2013 18:57

I loved it Blush. In my defence, I generally love all crap US TV shows though (not much defence but nothing like a bit of fluff TV!).

SummerRainIsADistantMemory · 13/07/2013 19:13

No, this defiance

Drastic.

But it's post-apocalyptic crap so we're watching it

limitedperiodonly · 13/07/2013 19:17

onedev it's got a great cast. It's just not for me. But hey.

I'm allergic to musicals apart from Thoroughly Modern Millie, which is really funny but drags, and the fantastic Cabaret because people bursting into song fits the storyline. Especially the number about falling in love with a pig and Tomorrow Belongs To Me.

That concept should work in Smash, but doesn't for me.

limitedperiodonly · 13/07/2013 19:23

I thought so summer.

It's the bloke who was Vanessa Williams's boyfriend in Ugly Betty and a short-lived werewolf in True Blood.

He's caught my eye. I may check it out for research purposes.

Does he undress? That's what kept me going through the dreary last season of True Blood and Banshee with that Sheriff Hood bloke.
