Have started a new thread as the old one won't accept my message. So I'll repost it here:

Fuzz has form for being beyond thick. Remember the whole stape thing? Her character is just incredibly stupid. You'd think she would learn her lesson. Running away 'on a fishing boat' with £200 is like a story from a 16th century novel.

Re the abduction I think they were wrong. Lots of mums keeps kids from fathers for all manner of selfish reasons and abduction is not the answer. However I do think ty was desperate. But why won't he just let the court decide ffs. He's got loads of evidence. I'm getting to the point in this story where I'm actually ready to punch him myself! In fact have felt a tiny bit sorry for k when they stole ruby. Surely the writers can't have intended for this to happen? God knows. Im away next week so hopefully I'll miss the stupid court stuff and be back for some proper corrie storylines.

OP posts:

I've seen him! Audrey's cross-dressing boyfriend was in a charity shop in Godalming the other day buying wine glasses for someone's birthday. Wasn't he in "Butterflies" years ago?

Clawdy · 26/04/2013 15:44

Yes,he and Nicholas Lyndhurst were the teenage sons. Nicholas L. went on to more well-known roles of course.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 26/04/2013 16:03

I loved Butterflies, one of my all time favourite sit-coms.

Lighthousekeeping · 26/04/2013 19:58

I wonder how old fay is? She looks much older than 11.

LeeCoakley · 26/04/2013 20:02

I've missed something somewhere along the line. Where did Gary really get Tina's dad's ring from? And when did it go missing?

PaintedBottom · 26/04/2013 20:05

I really hate Peter and Carla.....but I really really really hate Leanne right now with that smug attitude.... I wouldn't have blamed Carla if she decided to give Leanne a high five....in the face.... with a chair....

Lighthousekeeping · 26/04/2013 20:33

I can't stand Leanne. I don't really know what's she's on about.

thenightsky · 26/04/2013 21:14

I want to know where Gary got Tina's dad's ring too!

PaintedBottom · 26/04/2013 21:22

I'm just throwing this out there..... but is there a chance that Gary was behind the robbery in Tina's flat? Could that have been the beginning of Gary's control over Tina? I know it's far fetched, but this is Corrie I'm talking about Grin

Numberlock · 26/04/2013 21:27

The actress who plays Faye has recently turned 12.

Numberlock · 26/04/2013 21:28

She's the cousin of the actress who plays Sophie!

Meaningless soap trivia of the day!

CaramelLatte · 26/04/2013 21:30

That thought crossed my mind too painted.

Lighthousekeeping · 26/04/2013 21:31

And mine. I can't remember it though! Honestly, I half watch it these days.

ajandjjmum · 26/04/2013 21:32

So I'm the only one who has some sympathy for Leanne. She was there in her happy little life with Peter and Simon, and this bitch comes along who is determined to break up the family - and she's just got one over her. I know Leanne isn't the warmest of characters, but goodness, Carla treated her badly.

Hating Gary and Izzy at the moment.

Maybe over to Emmerdale to watch a few sheep! Grin

PaintedBottom · 26/04/2013 21:45

aj of course I do have sympathy for Leanne, she's been through a hell of a lot and I understand her hatred towards Peter and Carla. It was just her attitude tonight that bugged me...so so irritating. Whatever she has been through (must remind myself that it's not real!) she is not the most likeable character so her over the top smugness was a bit too much Blush

Monty27 · 27/04/2013 00:29

Tis all a pile of shit, I concur.

Monty27 · 27/04/2013 00:36

Oh and PB Emmerdale is just as bad if not worse.

I've been watching these soaps off and on for far more many years than I care to admit.

Time to switch off I think and do something more productive

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 27/04/2013 11:31

I was a bit Hmm at Gary finding the ring in the pawnshop.
Like when you drive past a Pawnshop (how many are there in Manchester)?

You just happen to find a wedding ring in the window that wasn't there two days ago.And read the inscription on the inside.

And WRT Leanne- her smug smirky face.
Oooh my hand would break before I tired of slapping her.......

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 27/04/2013 11:33

ajandjjmum

I don't think there are any sheep in Emmerdale now.
The only time we see lambs on the Barton's Farm is when it's being taken to the pub in a polystyrene chiller box Grin

ClartyCarol · 27/04/2013 14:06

Gary is seriously creeping me out, he's got a face like a malevolent leprechaun. Is there going to be some big Gary-controlling-Tina story then?

Numberlock · 28/04/2013 12:53

a face like a malevolent leprechaun

What a great expression! Even better than Vic Reeves's comment about Jack Dee - a face like an abandoned greenhouse.

Sleepyfergus · 28/04/2013 14:23

Just caught up on the omnibus....how irritating was Leanne and her panto laughing. The acting was even more criminal than normal.

ajandjjmum · 28/04/2013 14:40

So true Sleepy - but is there anyone who has been shat on by their other half, who wouldn't secretly have fantasised about such a situation! Grin

Sleepyfergus · 28/04/2013 15:12

True, but it was excruciating!

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 28/04/2013 16:18

Leanne was cringey but part of me was definitely cheering her on. Very odd that Carla and Peter would go to the Bistro that night though, I know the Rovers is closed but there are other bars and cafes.

Yes to Gary being creepy, don't like this development at all. As for Faye, just get rid!
