Have started a new thread as the old one won't accept my message. So I'll repost it here:

Fuzz has form for being beyond thick. Remember the whole stape thing? Her character is just incredibly stupid. You'd think she would learn her lesson. Running away 'on a fishing boat' with £200 is like a story from a 16th century novel.

Re the abduction I think they were wrong. Lots of mums keeps kids from fathers for all manner of selfish reasons and abduction is not the answer. However I do think ty was desperate. But why won't he just let the court decide ffs. He's got loads of evidence. I'm getting to the point in this story where I'm actually ready to punch him myself! In fact have felt a tiny bit sorry for k when they stole ruby. Surely the writers can't have intended for this to happen? God knows. Im away next week so hopefully I'll miss the stupid court stuff and be back for some proper corrie storylines.

Also I would just like to say that it's disappointing that Corrie are doing such a crap job of bigging up adoption. Faye is a nightmare! It would be good if they could balance it with a positive adoption storyline but then I guess this is soap so it's not about being happy!

I think the reason that Sunita's family weren't there is that she supposedly committed suicide, which is against their faith. Not very well explained though

kungfu- you might have a point there. plus I suppose lots of other characters still believe she started the fire.

How would they think Sunita committed suicide?

When Tim and Chesney had that altercation on the street, does that mean Tim has another side (I thought an aggressive other side came through) or had I missed that already?

Corrie is so bad atm that I just watch it 'out of the corner of my eye' iyswim.

They think she took the respirator out of her mouth or started a fire whilst she herself was in the pub.

Yes, I thought it showed a dodgy side to creepy Tim as well.

Oh no. I've just realised. Ken will go ga-ga/Deirdre at her wits' end/he goes into a home/Dev's arms are waiting/they are both 'there' for each other/wedding bells. I really don't want to watch.

The thing with the button I thought was going to lead to a Karl clue. e.g. Karl had dropped something and Steve found it on the floor. Otherwise what was the point?

Or Steve has put on weight and is going to have a health scare? Although that is hardly entertainment!

I think Steve's fat belly was the comedy element when everything gets too serious.

It's an old Shakesperean trick and I've noticed Corrie does it very well. When everything gets too grim, they put a light hearted vignette in i.e Norris getting his knickers in a twist or Steve doing his hangdog face.

To me, it's what puts Corrie above Eastenders. Eastenders just grinds you down with no releif, but Corrie writers know that life is light as well as dark.

But it wasn't funny,it was just silly.

No, it doesn't have to be actually funny, just a lighthearted moment or remark that breaks tension.

I thought that Steve's trousers were meant to rip,but failed. Judging by the camera zooming in on his bum.

It just looked bizarre to me...and,yes,why did they zoom in on his bum?

I wonder if he is wearing the wrong suit and actually got Karls back after the strip thing? Not sure how that would work though

I won't give any spoilers here (unless you want to hear it!) but I've just had a peek on the ITV site for the week ahead and Faye will be even more hated next week not hard

And I did actually laugh out loud at Steve laughing, then losing his button....it's the kind of thing that would happen to me at a funeral....

I hate it when they abandon an active story like the Karl thing and instead shift to something totally unrelated like the Faye/Tim/Anna bore. I can't bear any of that extended family.

Dev said most of her family wasn't coming because she had dishonoured them. But didn't go into any explanation.

And I'm not finding the Eileen/Paul thing very believable. I don't think Eileen would finish with Paul. Because she has taken forever to find somebody nice. If he is nice. Not sure about him. They might have been better turning him into a villain. Must not take CS so seriously.

The ken story is bizarre. He seemed to go from perfectly healthy to dementia ridden in one morning ffs.

Just looked at the Helen Worth wedding pics. Stella looks lovely in that dress, but it's not really what you wear to a wedding!

I think Ken might be getting written out atm cos he made some crass comment in the media recently. At this moment in time I cannot remember for the life of me what it was. He had to make a public apology and stuff, so he's probably been suspended.
