Have started a new thread as the old one won't accept my message. So I'll repost it here:

Fuzz has form for being beyond thick. Remember the whole stape thing? Her character is just incredibly stupid. You'd think she would learn her lesson. Running away 'on a fishing boat' with £200 is like a story from a 16th century novel.

Re the abduction I think they were wrong. Lots of mums keeps kids from fathers for all manner of selfish reasons and abduction is not the answer. However I do think ty was desperate. But why won't he just let the court decide ffs. He's got loads of evidence. I'm getting to the point in this story where I'm actually ready to punch him myself! In fact have felt a tiny bit sorry for k when they stole ruby. Surely the writers can't have intended for this to happen? God knows. Im away next week so hopefully I'll miss the stupid court stuff and be back for some proper corrie storylines.

Those two lawyers - dreadful over-acting, especially the guy,his facial expressions are laughable!!

I was a bit at one of the lawyers calling Tyrone an affable grease monkey. Would that be allowed. Must must not take CS too seriously!

Who thinks Julie is going to get a kicking when she confronts Kirsty? It would make sense in the eyes of the writers as she has been Kirsty's biggest supporter.

They must think Stella looks good in a hospital bed, its not that long since Carla ran her down. Lazy writing as she has been at death's door twice in about a year.

Who thinks Tyrone will go to jail , Kirsty will batter Julie and get her comeuppance that way. But not before Fiz does her mawky face and they marry in the visitors centre

Kirsty will bash Julie and it will end happily, but it is irritating that just as one wrongly blamed victim storyline ends another starts, will the whole Karl thing drag on for months, hopefully not Christmas

Karl only lasts a short time and Tyrone and Kirsty conclude on Monday.

Yes please to Eileen and Lloyd, the banter and bickering would be brilliant, and we need some happy normal couples who dont suddenly go off and have an affair with someone they have barely spoke to in the past.

Kirsty does scary really well but not sure Julie's sudden change of heart entirely rings true when she has consistently not believed Fizz, supposedly one of her best friends and was quick to believe Tyrone was a wife beater despite having known him for many years as a gentle person.

Also why not get Ty's A&E records?????

And why is Stella wearing a hospital gown all this time! Can someone not bring her in a nightie? Must all be part of her working that looking good in a hospital bed look.

YES!! The A&E records, I was grrr'ing at that last night. Perhaps they will be revealed when he takes the stand?

They could have asked Dr Carter last night as he would have been notified of his attendance.

Get Hayley on the stand too. She heard all that between Fizz and Kirsty last night. And Tommy and Tina who also saw Tyrone's injuries at first hand. Why isn't Fizz giving evidence? (although her track record probably not the best witness).

Its all going to come down to Julie getting a thump isn't it? The A&E records and the pics that could have been restored from Fiz's phone were enough.

And Kev has moved back in with Sally, just like that. They should have sent him of to be with Bill so they could explain the house being available.

Hopefully Ty's lawyer will call Tommy, Tina et al when he giving the defence? Julie seemed pretty easily convinced she'd got it wrong!

I think they've had to change this trial as it was originally filmed before "kev" was arrested again.
Hence Julie being so easily swayed.

I was thinking that too Ginger - can't Hayley come forward as a witness, having heard Kirsty confirming she's lying? Also, wouldn't Tina/Fiz tell Tyrone's solicitor that Kirsty's mum knows she's lying? Kevin would have definitely been a witness - perhaps they'll make reference to him being there, but of course we won't see it......
And the A&E records - they can't have forgotten about them, can they .
It'll be ridiculous if she gets off just because of hitting Julie - how would that, on it's own, prove Tyrone didn't hit her??

The trial was so annoying last night....for all the points pp have lusted above. I was shouting at the telly about the A&E reports, and also had a wee recall about the anger management classes. In fact, I thought they were going to ask Dr totally lush Carter about them, but no.

If Sunita shuffles off to the great corner shop in the sky without regaining consciousness, the fire's going to blamed on her isn't it? I wonder if Dev will rename the shop 'Sunitas'? Dead classy like.

Julie's clothes are getting more and more .voluminous. That red cape was massive.Don't think she is going to get away with the Carla tactic of carrying a massive bag everywhere.

Why not just have a storyline that Brian is a feeder?

I agree that the trial was a farce. I was also shouting what about his medical records and Deirdre was allowed to give all sorts of speculation and hear-say (I watch too much Good Wife and was shouting 'Objection! Speculation!').

I imagine she will hurt Julie and it'll all be over although as someone said just hitting Julie isn't enough to prove she was the one hitting Tyrone!

Yes I also thought didn't Kirsty ask for help re her anger etc........all very annoying and totally unrealistic!

And the fire...........are Paul or Dev going to apologise to poor old Jason for accusing him and being really horrid to him when it wasn't his fault?! I hope Karl does get caught although lately so many people on that street end up in prison (most of them wrongly convicted) it is getting quite ridiculous!

I'll still keep watching though....been 32 years now so you have to ride these things out :)

I can't bear Karl and his stupid greasy face. The sooner he goes to prison for arson the better! He makes me cringe.

And is Dr Carter allowed to do strip teases given his profession!

I'm swerving corrie this week. Hate trials. Especially dopey badly written ones. I may have to stop watching altogether if Karl the hero storyline doesn't end quickly. Fireman is such a knob. He's living at Eileen's house and always in a bloody nark. Always snarling. Poor Jason.

Surely Paul and Eileen could afford a bigger house, he must have sold his by now?

I did think Dr Carter doing stripteases was v.unprofessional too

I used to really like Carl in Taggart, think the change of accent does him no favours.
