I don't know about Dylan's parents as he's not mentioned them.

Itsjustafleshwound · 29/01/2013 09:56

Does anyone ever vote for the UK in the end?

northender · 29/01/2013 09:56

Marking my spot. Good episode today

Sparklingbrook · 29/01/2013 09:56

sailorsgal · 29/01/2013 09:57

Well I guess salbertini it depends on how much you earn. Smile

I used to spend around £50-£60 a week and its nearly £100 a week for 3 of us. We don't even eat much meat.

MrsReiver · 29/01/2013 09:57

I was just wondering Sparkling, that was very random.

sailorsgal · 29/01/2013 09:59

I think it was very obvious today that they will go. good luck to them. And looking out at the shitty weather outside I might be going too. Grin

Horsemad · 29/01/2013 09:59

I didn't think Lyndsey looked totally convinced. Sad

SomeBear · 29/01/2013 09:59

I hope we get a revisited for this couple and find that everything worked out for them. It's refreshing to watch an episode that didn't make me tut! Smile

MunchkinsMumof2 · 29/01/2013 09:59

Aw, loved them, I hope they have a really happy life together in Oz and we get to re-visit them.

Sparklingbrook · 29/01/2013 09:59

She was hiding in the bushes MrsR. Confused

They were lovely! Best of luck to them.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 29/01/2013 10:13

Watching on a delay at the minute, but seem to have missed how they are able to go - is she a real teacher or a teaching assistant? Who is the primary visa applicant?

Sparklingbrook · 29/01/2013 10:45

She is a primary school teacher Anne so she is going to be the main breadwinner.

OP posts:
AnneEyhtMeyer · 29/01/2013 10:58

Ah, thanks Sparkling, I missed that.

susiedaisy · 29/01/2013 11:42

RantyMcRantpants · 29/01/2013 14:32

Ooooh! looks like I am in for a good watch tomorrow :)

Katz · 29/01/2013 22:00

Liked today's couple, was sadly excited as I used to live near the beach they showed them walking on at the start of the programme. In fact I met my DH at a pub which was just behind them, although its apartments now! Ah memories.

Sparklingbrook · 30/01/2013 06:37

I think it may be a 'Revisited' today. Not sure about that.

OP posts:
Trazzletoes · 30/01/2013 06:44

Ooh hello, can I join a little bit please?

I don't always watch but am madly addicted to the programme...

Yes, some people do vote to stay at home in the end... Occasionally...

I'm just wondering what makes you tut?!

For me it's that they never have a clue how much property is worth (do your research people!!!) and are always stunned that a) their house is worth about £40,000 less than they expected; b) the house they want is way out of their budget and c) the cost of living is invariably about 400x higher than they thought.

And the people on the videos... Almost never say "we are so happy that you are doing something for you - can't wait for the holidays!" It's always "poor us, how can we ever cope without you, we will have no one to talk to and it's all your fault, selfish ones".

Sparklingbrook · 30/01/2013 06:58

Of course Trazzle, you are most welcome. Smile

Tut at-

Pushy Mums making their DH's go when they don't want to.
Unrealistic expectations re money generally.
Nicky's home visits

Everything really......

AnneEyhtMeyer · 30/01/2013 08:09

Oh my biggest tut is when the main reason they want to go is for the "Outdoor Lifestyle".

Seriously, if you haven't had the inclination to go outside while living in the UK, then you won't have the inclination once you live in Australia. It is not a holiday.
