Jakey is grating my carrot. Feel sorry for 'Kirst'. Fancy not being swayed by a shower room of her own. Hmm

Feel sorry for the daughter, horrible choice to make.

Sparklingbrook · 30/01/2013 09:29

Jeez scone that is shocking. A week??? Shock

How do they know if they're overpriced? Are they comparing them to UK prices?

And how old is the grumpy teen?

MrsReiver · 30/01/2013 09:30

DH is an accountant - I'll be watching this bit closely Grin

EightToSixer · 30/01/2013 09:31

Would you not wear a suit jacket or even a tie to a job interview?

Does Trudy work?

Sparklingbrook · 30/01/2013 09:31

Why does the Mum dress like a teenager?

OP posts:
SconeInSixtySeconds · 30/01/2013 09:31

Oh yes.

We had a great time for 2 years in Oz, but there's no place like home imo

SomeBear · 30/01/2013 09:32

I'm tutting at the lack of tie and the chair swinging...

Itsjustafleshwound · 30/01/2013 09:32

Being an accountant he will be up against all the Saffers ....

Sparklingbrook · 30/01/2013 09:32

You have more reason to be tutting than most then scone. Grin

Oodsigma · 30/01/2013 09:32

Getting the impression that teenager is an afterthought :(

Sparklingbrook · 30/01/2013 09:33

Ooh the budget bit. Should be fun.

DevaDiva · 30/01/2013 09:33

Phew found you, thanks for the redirect Sparkling. I'm glad I didn't see this one first time round might be a bit bored if I had.

DowntonTrout · 30/01/2013 09:33

I'm not sure I can tut at pushy parents making their kids go if they don't want to. I think, until they are adults it's up to parents to make what they consider to be the best decision for them.

I hate the home family video bits. It's emotional blackmail. I do tut at that- and think selfish, selfish! When DS said that he and his GF were thinking of going- she would be the primary applicant as a children's nurse, I said go for it while you're young and have no ties. He was a bit upset and we both ended up crying.

Oh my god! I just spotted that bathroom! What were they thinking?

MrsReiver · 30/01/2013 09:34

Shock Might have to have a chat with DH this evening.

Yeah, I think Jakey MIGHT be a bit spoilt!!! Check out that room!!!

Sparklingbrook · 30/01/2013 09:34

hahahahahahahahaha

EightToSixer · 30/01/2013 09:34

Why do they always over-estimate what their house is worth?

MrsReiver · 30/01/2013 09:35

I hope they factored in the cost of Jakey's Lego habit in their budget. That Star Wars stuff is extortionate.

Sparklingbrook · 30/01/2013 09:36

I thought that MrsR. Spoilt Jakey.

OP posts:
DowntonTrout · 30/01/2013 09:36

I think the mum has had a bit too much sun!

Sparklingbrook · 30/01/2013 09:36

Ooh here we go-outdoor lifestyle, cos no outdoors in Wales. Wink

OP posts:
Sparklingbrook · 30/01/2013 09:37

Up at 6am for Ozzie Boot Camp. Fab. Hmm

OP posts:
FatimaLovesBread · 30/01/2013 09:38

How much did they think their house was worth? I missed the beginning.

If she comes after her degree, surely she'll have to have her own visa and job opportunities.

My friend went to live in Perth for a year, she hated it. V expensive and boring she said

EightToSixer · 30/01/2013 09:38

They live overlooking a big beach but don't go on it. Why would they suddenly start going outdoors there.
