Vernon Kay, no way (that's what I'm going to chant outside if they do hire him...) I think Richard Arnold would be nice for ITT occasionally but not the main show. I would be very happy if they had Anton, I think he would be perfect. I don't exactly mind Tess but she is pretty vacuous compared with someone like Claudia who is funny and smart and doesn't just endlessly say 'what would it mean to you to be in the final blah blah'.
The amount of padding/recapping last night was a big let-down for me. I know the Beeb is on a shoestring but this is one of their flagship shows and if they're going to pay all the pro's to stand around they might as well pay them to dance around. Weirdly, despite all the recaps, they also missed the opportunity to do a really classy review of the best dances and big moments from the show - it all looked very lazily cobbled together. Part of the problem - discussed a lot on here a few weeks back - is that the dancing is so badly filmed that they haven't got decent material to work with. They should take some advice from the sports dept, the filming of football is amazing these days - slow motion, close ups, matching music with action.
