ADHD is what people are thinking of attention defcit hyperactive disorder part the reason his mum tried to channel his energy into gymnastics

gettingeasier · 22/12/2012 22:29

Fair dos wanted K to win but he pulled it out of the bag 100%

Bruce ? Soooo long I hope

Pan · 22/12/2012 22:29

ADS/ADHD - it's all a bit messy in definition (most young people grow out of ADHD) but for dancing it means you struggle to get into 'character' because it is emotion-based. Louis had to overcome big obstacles to do all of this, esp. being judged so harshly for it earlier on. People with ADS/ADHD get used to being judged for it.

But good for him.

TheHumancatapult · 22/12/2012 22:30

Only thing say is good luck brendan with the baby bet his poor wife can uncross her legs now

chocolatespiders · 22/12/2012 22:31

Just watched Louis show dance again- WOW. would like to watch results again but it is not on Iplayer yet.

Go Louis - when he moved his hand down Flavia's side at the start of his first dance, just knew he was a shoe in for the glitter ball.

Vagaceratops · 22/12/2012 22:37

Brucie was like a geriatric guard dog at the end.

He seemed really out of sorts tonight, more so than usual.

Glad Lewis and Flavia won. The show dance was amazing.

ilovesooty · 22/12/2012 22:45

That happened exactly as I expected in terms of the winner.

Just glad Denise and James got to the final 3.

pigsinmud · 22/12/2012 22:45

Bruce did his usual aggro act at the end, but in this series I have found the rest of the troupe, behind Tess when she does her interview with the couples, very, very annoying. Sometimes I can't hear what Tess is saying. The messing around has got out of hand......Brendon! Most of the time it isn't funny, just childish.

Surely they must have been told what was going to happen and they ignored it. Poor old Bruce just trying to do the right thing. I actually think Bruce is ok - does a bloody good job for an 80 something year old.

Wanted Louis & Flavia to win so very Smile

Now is it pronounced Louis or Lewis?

frankinsensible · 22/12/2012 22:57

Still feeling gutted for Dani and Vince, they're going on my SCD 'robbed' list, but very happy for Louis he's charming and gorgeous and natural. Those are the two couples whose dancing I've enjoyed most.

Think the show is due a big overhaul, hopefully everyone realises the jig's up for Sir Bruce and they also need a lot more content in the final, way way too much padding tonight.

MrsReiver · 22/12/2012 22:57

It's said "Lewis" isn't it?

InExitCelsisDeo · 22/12/2012 23:01

Dani was out of her depth tongiht.

pinkteddy · 22/12/2012 23:03

Its been good this series due to the calibre of the celebs but they haven't used the pros enough this season for me. No pro dance in the final either which was disappointing and I didn't think much of the group dance either! But overall a great series.

Breadandwine · 22/12/2012 23:08

chocolatespiders Just popping in to say that if you go to BBC1 live on iPlayer, the last two hours are available.

I'm watching from 9:07 ATM!

Great result, I thought - Louis had to come the farthest. And Flavia, what a choreographer and what a teacher she must be!

frankinsensible · 22/12/2012 23:09

Dani wasn't out of her depth, she has proved throughout the series that she can dance as well as any of them - better a lot of the time tho' she has been consistently undermarked. She looked very nervous tonight from the start so maybe the pressure got to her in the end and that showdance was a terrible lapse on Vincent's part.

AndiMac · 22/12/2012 23:11

Pinkteddy, I agree the pros seemed under used. Last year I always enjoyed that we'd get usually two big routines from the pros, at the start and during the song. This year it was nearly exclusively just one couple during the song and often only the boys or only the girls at the opening.

Now is the time to get rid of Bruce. He finished another season, just retire him before he pops his clogs in the middle of a show.

AndiMac · 22/12/2012 23:12

Two routines during the Sunday show I mean.

chocolatespiders · 22/12/2012 23:38

Thankyou breadandwine heading there now Smile just want to watch the end again as my mum rang as soon as it was announced and I missed bits.

awaynboilyurheid · 23/12/2012 00:23

yes!! the right two won, delighted for Flavia and Louis but really annoyed CRD gave them a 9 for their final dance was a bit picky since judges scores were only a guide and didn't count, he praised them then gave him 9 and the other two got 10's a wee bit sour grapes really, glad the audience booing went on for a while. Loved DVo and James' show dance thought both her dances sensational I think Len knew she might not win when he said whatever happens you can leave with your head held high she was very brave to even attempt those lifts it was the best showdance yet.
But delighted for Flavia, she deserved it.

awaynboilyurheid · 23/12/2012 00:27

Forgot to say agree with those who say Bruce was terrible at the end shouting at the dancers like an angry old man, didnt come over well, then he stood in front of Flavia and Louis which was what he got annoyed about others doing, hope this was his last strictly.

pigsinmud · 23/12/2012 00:51

I just didn't like DVO's show dance. I don't like loads of lifts. She hardly had her feet on the floor.

Agree CRH was mean to give Louis a 9. I have found his marking to be a bit unpredictable this series.

AndiMac · 23/12/2012 01:19

I actually found Bruno the most consistent between what he said and how he marked. He used to annoy me with his over the top arm-waving, but I've mellowed and don't mind it so much anymore. I also think in the end Darcey really added to the show and also brought her own personality to it. Hope she sticks around.

ScatterGotStuckUpTheChimney · 23/12/2012 01:23

I presumed it was for the timing errors (in one of the side-by-side bits) but he should have mentioned it in his comments!

I was rooting for Denise, she had a fantastic night, but don't mind at all that Louis won Kimberly is basically a ten years younger Denise. imo

See you for the Christmas Special Xmas Smile

Oh and unMumsnet-y hugs for your company this year. It's so nice to have lots of people to talk to about it!

OodKingWenceslas · 23/12/2012 04:42

Y I agree re Craig's 9. If there was a mistake he should have said. Though Kimberley's show dance had errors and they weren't mentioned either.
Felt for Dani who was obviously far too nervous tonight. Their show dance could have been fab with a lot of dancing rather than just lifts but she wasn't 'in the zone'. She deserved 4th on tonight's programme but overall she's had really good comments & low scores consistently and I think they need to start justifying a little more.

Oh and adding to my earlier list,

Less standing ovations ( every dance isn't that good!)
No booing. It's not panto
