So what do we all make of Marcus and Maria now? Think people are being a tad unfair on them. Even Kirk!!!

Loved Steve locking rob in the van.

Looking forward to seeing where the Tina pregnancy thread will go - hope Tommy comes to terms with it all. Loved the happy faces of Izzy and Gary.

Slightly off-topic but I remember about 10yrs ago when the actress that plays Hayley was on the panel of Loose Women, she got an on-air call from the corrie set from Denise Welch in a blatant 'look at me I'm funny enough to be on the panel' attempt. Clearly worked

I thought Audrey's response to the dvd was fab, very subtly done, just the faintest smile... Then her delight at the flowers! So beautifully done. Wonder if Nigel will return? Probably not... Btw I did laugh out loud at the lifts in his shoes line Grin

I thought Lewis' revenge was fab, served in just the right measure. When Audrey took that money back off Gail I thought 'good for Audrey!' I'm not really one to enjoy the humiliation of others, and leading up to the DVD I was cringing a bit but it was pitched just perfect. It would be a pity if that was the last we saw of Lewis. He's quite amusing when he's being all evil. Grin

I think though if I had been Kylie I would have told Nick as he may have stopped Lewis. Perhaps they could have told the bank to freeze the account so he couldn't get Gail's money.

You would think Gail wouldn't have been so stupid, she has been conned before by Joe and the financial guy. What is wrong with her. wouldn't you wait til you got out to Italy before you decided rather than having the money available.

Was shocked when he turned up in Brothers and Sisters and then Corrie but he was a great character!

I thought it was really unfair that Audrey took the 9k off Gail. I think there should be an AIBU! Me and DH were discussing who was right.

Yes Lewis owed Audrey that money, but he robbed her daughter for it! So it's not paying her back if it's stolen money.

I also wondered why Kylie didn't tell Nick! It was the obvious thing to do. Audrey's reaction to Gail being conned out of everything didn't ring true. Even if she loves Lewis she must realise what a horrible person he is to do that to her daughter. And to actually smile when Lewis confirmed his love for her! What about when he dumped her for no good reason? It would have been better for her to hug Gail and declare Lewis a cad and a bounder. And to take the £9000! I've gone off Audrey.
Obviously Sylvia back to take Hayley's place. Hope she becomes a force to be reckoned with especially with people like Karl and Norris and Owen.
End the Tyrone/Fizz angst NOW! We all know Kirsty's a baddun and it's been strung out enough.

I really felt sorry for Gail- she has been humiliated, embarrassed, tricked, robbed and her family dynamic has been messed up. I couldn't belive Audrey's smug smile and her keeping the 9k either. If its stolen from Gail, who is now penniless, then its not hers to keep.

I half thought Lewis would pop out from behind the porch when Audrey got home and saw the flowers, brandishing one-way tickets to Italy.. Could have been a nice out for them both!

I didn't really watch it during the Richard Hillman bit but didn't Audrey help Gail out financially so she could keep the house? Not relevant to anything, just wondering.

kingfu- I don't recall Audrey helping her with the house but I do remember she got in a money muddle with McIntyre, maybe it was around that time?

Even so Audrey should have given Gail the 9k since it was still warm from the ATM!

You think? Given Gail's betrayal of her mother, hypocrisy and other faults, I think Audrey was NBU to keep the money. Gail still owns the rest of her house -40k of its value - after all.

Perhaps we should post a spoof thread on AIBU to see what the majority think.

It's certainly a top water cooler' topic for the Corrue writers.
