So what do we all make of Marcus and Maria now? Think people are being a tad unfair on them. Even Kirk!!!

Loved Steve locking rob in the van.

Looking forward to seeing where the Tina pregnancy thread will go - hope Tommy comes to terms with it all. Loved the happy faces of Izzy and Gary.

Team Audrey here. I thought she responded brilliantly. But - if Lewis loved her as much as he said, why didnt he just forgive her months ago for being persuaded by Gail to doubt him? That was the most unbelievable part of the whole saga imo.

Seems no matter what Lewis does Audrey still forgives him. I agree with Slag on this. He has really destroyed Gail and all for what ? I'm glad he's gone. He was getting v nasty. I just can't stop seeing Diana every time he was on screen.

theliverpoolone- yes the weak link in this whole plot is that Audrey and Lewis could so easily have just got back together.

And yes Gail was utterly ruined by him: lost her job, her money, her home is in jeopardy, her family is in ruins, she was humiliated, dumped and shown up. This was all because she didn't trust her mother's lover, and in fact, she was right!

Audrey actually used to be an awful character. She was a terrible mum to Gail in the 80's, very selfish and money grabbing and only with "Alfie" for capital gains. Never really supportive and they have fallen out so many times. A toxic mother of sorts.

She's only become this soft character in later years. I think they are both as bad as each other.

I'm team Audrey too. Gail deserved everything she got. Stupid cow! I mean, how thick can you be?! Good to see Audrey have the last laugh. Lewis loved her and she got her £9000 back too. You don't snog and lust after your mothers cast off Gail so learn a fecking lesson. Shame Lewis has gone, the script writers should have got rid of gail instead. How long will it be before Nick and Kylie's secret is out? It will happen.

I can never understand Audrey and her money. She set up the salon, then had to sell it to Fiona, I remember her being left supposedly penniless when Alf died and yet she got the salon back, has money to spend on cruises, a far nicer house than anyone else in the show, the details are all hazy now. She has mellowed a lot over the years. I'm with her on this one, Gail might have been right not to trust Lewis but the way she went about testing him was just setting Audrey up for humiliation, she knew how much he meant to Audrey and yet she went ahead with an affair with him. I find it utterly unbelievable that she was so convinced he was a conman when he got together with Audrey and yet didn't suspect a thing this time, never once asked to see any paperwork for the Italy move. Despite all this it was uncomfortable watching Fri's episodes.

Kylie and Nick are off the hook again then.

That's reminded me of Lewis' comment about Julie deserving better than the weasel of a husband she's got. David's face was a picture! If Lewis does reappear when baby due, I'm sure there'll be comedy aplenty between those 2.

The Lewis revenge stroryline was completely daft. It was a bit of an OTT and lavish revenge plot for - what - Gail beind concerned that her mum was being ripped off..?

Jenna and Mandy are annoying me more every week. If anything Mandy seems less like Lloyd's type every time she appears. Her voice really grates too.

Yes, Mandy's more of a mum-type to Lloyd. And he's completely changed personalities! Instead of drinking and women he's playing concerned dad who knows all the answers. Far too boring!

Wouldn't Audrey have to give the money back? She's knowingly received stolen goods. That's a crime, surely?

Perhaps Nick will feel guilt and pay Gail back. Or David and Kylie will get a mortgage and buy her out, then let her rent her room. Grin

There is no chemistry at all between Mandy and Lloyd. Not only can I not warm to Mandy but her character is so headstrong and bullish.
