But letting Brody off was the deal for him helping them catch Nazir. Not that that means anything to Estes or many in the CIA.

That's what I thought from the trailer. It wasn't just the drone attack on the school, it was Estes (using Quinn) planning to assassinate Brody, a Congressman, that Saul objected to. Hence Estes wanting him out of the way.

I also thought I detected a reluctance on Quinn's face when he was watching Carrie and Brody.

I don't want it to end. What will I do with my Sundays when there is no Quinn to ogle Homeland to watch. Last night, I watched it on Channel 4 then switched to Channel 4 +1hr to watch it all over again.

Quinn cannot be bad/killed off. I will be very cross indeed. But what will be next week......the suspense is too much.

And yes, David Harewood on that Channel 4 Sunday show had muchos chesticles on show - the big and bold old tart (.....pity it wasn't Quinn/Rupert Friend.....sigh....)

Yes, Quinn won't kill Brody on front of Carrie, surely? Or is he cold enough to kill them both? No show left then though.

Quinn could though, BOF, cos no one (apart from Saul) would argue with that. He may even kill Carrie, the CIA would argue she was complicit because of her obsession with (or lurrve for) for Brody.

But surely Carrie will realise the CIA can now get rid of Brody with impunity , having 'done' his part of the deal in delivering Nasir. Unless the whole 'kidnap Carrie/lock her up against a pipe/force Brody to get the Veep's pacemaker serial number or Carrie gets whacked/Nasir lets Carrie go' sequence was an elaborate preplanned scheme which would enable Brody to kill the Veep without fear of consequence . Or maybe I am just going crazy after all............

That's the theory I read, Donnie. I don't think it can be lightly dismissed.

Hmmm... so Carrie was held by Abu Nasir, managed to escape and the CIA don't debrief her, just let her carry on as normal? Only Quinn seems to be at all interested - he asked 'so how did you get away' and seemed unconvinced by her 'oh I escaped' response. I think Quinn has clicked there's a link between Carrie being held by AN and the death of the VP. Also how come Brody was known to be in the same room as the VP at the time of his death yet noone seems interested?

I really can't wait to see how this ends. Think Quinn may not follow Estes' orders after all, or maybe Saul will manage to alert Brody of the plot to kill him.

Will the Dana/Finn sub plot be resurrected in the finale - can't believe they spent so much time developing this without there being any significance (other than driving Dana away from Brody)?

didl is episode 12 double length like in season 1 (hope so desperately - can't see it all being wrapped up in an hour)?

mamaus - I have finally registered that you might be from the US! So tell me - are the US accents of the British actors as flawless as they seem to be to the British ear? Can you tell that they're fake?

I disagree with posters saying this series has been a bit of a letdown - you do have to suspend disbelief and ignore some of the nonsense, but it's still the best TV there is at the moment. And I so want Quinn to be secretly good. Or at least secretly not in cahoots with Estes.

Hassled I am indeed from the US, but live in the UK now, and I have to say that I think the American accents are absolutely flawless!

Actually, I am embarrassed to admit that I didn't even know that Damien Lewis wasn't American until about half way through season one, and only knew about Quinn and Estes because of this thread.
Just amazing. Even since I have known, I have yet to hear a slip up from any of them.

I saw Damien Lewis on Jonathan Ross, and it was absolutely bizarre to hear his English Accent.

I can't help but think that the Nazir plot can't be over, there has to be more coming that he had planned, maybe Brody is in on it still? Nazir said that he knew that wouldn't leave the US alive, so maybe all part of the plan? I have no idea!! Can't wait though.

Am I the only one not looking to watch it early? I kind of like the suspense and mild torture in the waiting :)

Also, if anyone could recommend a series that I could watch on DVD or something between now and next year, that would be great. This is the first show I have ever been truly hooked on. I used to travel too much for work, but now have kids and don't go anywhere!
Just trying to plan ahead for my homeland withdrawals.

oof, just watched the final episode, and still have no real idea as to who is a good guy and who is a bad guy. But the big news is........ Dana almost very nearly has a new expression .

Watch on Sunday (or stream before) - you don't want to miss this episode - more twists and turns than a twisty-turny thing, but actually surprisingly satisfying. In a I-have-no-idea-what-is-going-on kind of way that might be the wine though

I quite liked Jessica in that episode when she and Brody had the chat I thought she had lots of dignity.

Am annoyed I missed out on half naked Estes. I remember him playing a bad 'un in Hustle with a Brumy accent.

God knows what Quinn will do but I want him to stay. I think he's an interesting character and really hot too. I used to fancy Damien but no longer.

I wonder if Carrie will take a season off as she is pregnant in real life. Am not sure where they can take it now Nazir is dead.

I wish I didn't know about CD being pregnant. Even when it's all tense and exciting and I'm straining to hear every word, I find myself assessing shots of Carrie and wondering/noticing how they're avoiding showing her bump.

I find this bloody annoying and frankly, incomprehensible.

DH and I watch it every Monday (iplayer big screen. I don't want it to end! It is the only show that I just cannot wait to watch.
So... Based on the recent posts on here, will there be another series? What else can they do with the plot? Surely this is the end of the story?
