I am beside myself with excitement. here - who's putting the contacts in? Is that Carrie in a disguise? Any one else agog?

You missed A Lot. He is beyond beautiful, and said he'd been working out for upcoming role. He wore his shirt unbuttoned loooooow and it was impossible to not drool.

gypsyfloss · 16/12/2012 23:10

Hmmmm, I might have look for this ...

LauraPashley · 16/12/2012 23:11

Does anyone else think Quinn is having 2nd thoughts?

LightHousekeeping · 16/12/2012 23:12

7 seasons? That's too much. I'll be 50 by the time it finishes and, very grey!

gypsyfloss · 16/12/2012 23:17

I think he might be Laura. Maybe he's realising that he's a pawn in a nasty game and the one making the rules seems to change them very quickly when he needs to .

donnie · 16/12/2012 23:33

you have to admit though, when Estes asked Saul if he gave Eileen the means to kill herself....well,he did didn't he? and Brody's guard, back in series 1.

Roya was good today, more interesting and ballsy. The search in the mill for Nasir was v exciting although i too feel a sense of anti climax now he has gone.

difficultpickle · 16/12/2012 23:36

I usually watch Sunday brunch even though I find Tim football idiot beyond annoying. Today ds made me take him out so I missed it. I won't make that mistake again!

Showtime · 16/12/2012 23:53

Agree about Quinn's looks, but after stabbing Brody's hand while interrogating, he really can't be one of the goodies.

difficultpickle · 17/12/2012 00:00

Saul keeps facilitating key people to kill themselves but we think he's good.

Wingedharpy · 17/12/2012 01:50

I feel that next weeks episode will end on a "Who shot JR"-type cliffhanger.
We'll see Quinn take the shot and we'll see in the gloom, someone fall, then a pool of blood running across the floor and we won't know who's been shot - Carrie or Brody? until series 3. And we won't know if they're dead or not.

gypsyfloss · 17/12/2012 06:40

Oh yes Winged, with a big shriek of "noooooo" from Carrie to make us think it's Brody who's down but...

AdesteFiderer · 17/12/2012 08:10

Xmas Grin at St Saul of Snacks.

Can't believe Estes really suspected Saul of treachery (or should that be 'molery'?) With so many agents racing off together after Nazir, there's not much Saul could have done anyway. What's Estes up to?

Saul leaving the glasses with Eileen was most likely an act of kindness. Her not being able to read because her eyes were so bad was fairly wretched. He berated himself later for his sentimentality. And Brody slipped the suspect something he then used to kill himself.

Dana got on my nerves, she doesn't usually and the opposite goes for Jess. I thought she was good (for once) in the end of the marriage scene.

And Xmas Grin at "Who is going to ask Chris to leave the room now?"

gypsyfloss · 17/12/2012 08:29

I don't think that Estes does believe Saul is the mole, he's trying to cover his arse cos Saul has sussed that Estes and Quinn are in cahoots to bump off Brody. He just wants Saul out of the way and is muddying the waters around him. I agree Adeste that Saul giving her the specs was him being lovely and kind.

I think Estes is the big baddy.

I also had a thought...perhaps the Nazir they shot was a fake Nazir??

AdesteFiderer · 17/12/2012 08:44

"Muddying waters" - yes, that's it. Is it only about the drone attack? Seem to remember Saul took a whole load of discs with evidence in S1.

TheDoctrineOfSnatch · 17/12/2012 08:59

Yeah, he's blackmailing Saul - either take early retirement or I'll see you leave in some kind of disgrace.

FloatyBeatie · 17/12/2012 09:02

If Carrie and Brody go on the run, perhaps they can meet up with on-the-run Sarah Lund, currently in a light aircraft over Reykjavik. Sarah and Carrie can fight crime together, combining their respective superpowers of woolly jumper and over-straightened hair. With Brody coming along as eye candy.

Dripster Jessica gets Sarah's cast-off Borch as the (really quite acceptable) second prize.

slartybartfast · 17/12/2012 12:07

i think carrie and brody will be some sort of bonnie and clyde. and gunned down Sad

donnie · 17/12/2012 14:38

It pains me to say it but yesterday#s episode has left me feeling mightily disappointed with the second series and that the writing has deteriorated. There were some brilliant episodes in the earlier part of the series - eg the ones in Beirut - but it's lost its brilliance, for me anyway Sad

Terrywoganstrousers · 17/12/2012 14:56

Yes, and DP said last night ' it's just all getting so far fetched now!'
I agree with him.

gypsyfloss · 17/12/2012 14:56

I think I agree Donnie. I absolutely loved season one but this one isn't a patch on it. However they might redeem themselves yet...

diddl · 17/12/2012 15:00

Yes, although I have to keep watching to see what happensHmm

But now that people know Brody was/is a terrorist & loyal to Nazir-now what?

I think he would have delighted in killing the VP anyway tbh.

So now what-Brody does something in retaliation for Nazir & he becomes public enemy nr 1 again?

AdesteFiderer · 17/12/2012 15:22

Was there a trailer for next week? I watched the episode online, don't want to blabber out my latest witterings if there wasn't one on TV.

diddl · 17/12/2012 16:15

I´m just watching ep12Blush

Won´t be here Sunday-that´s my excuse, anyway!!

BOFingSanta · 17/12/2012 16:27

Brody could still be a wrong 'un, and planning to blow up the Veep's funeral, now he's got Carrie's complicity in covering up his death- that's one theory I've read. A much more disturbing one is that she will do a Bobby Ewing and wake up from her shock treatment to find that series two was all a dream Xmas Grin

FloatyBeatie · 17/12/2012 16:31

In fairness to Quinn et al. surely to goodness they can't have someone walking around free who came so close to killing VP and dozens of others in series 1? He has to be shot or arrested doesn't he? The CIA can't have really meant to let him off the hook?
