Why does Jess call Nick Brody "Brody" but Mike Faber "Mike"?

Since Jess's surname is also Brody, isn't that odd?

They knew each other back in high school I think, something dating from then (when she had her maiden name)? Thinking about it calling classmates by surname isn't something I'm familiar with!

Its something my brother and all his friends do.

I was livid as there was no warning before they showed the clip or even a mention they were showing a clip. It just popped up and they said afterwards that Homeland is on tonight. Yeah, thanks for ruining my Sunday evening were my sentiments.
